we have certain devices, which does not have a OEM configuration profile available in the SOTI profile. Is there a way to set the hostname of the device via script or any other means?

look for the manufacturer oem config in playstore (if you don't use managed playstore, contact the manufacturer if they can provide the apk file, so you can do it via enterprise app policy).
I haven't seen something possible yet to do this via script.

thank you. I have marked that as the solution because that is the right way to use the OEMConfig app of the manufacturer. Unfortunately, this specific manufacturer has a OEMConfig app but without the option to set the hostname. I have contacted the manufacturer.
Having a general way to set the hostname via script would be great - there ways to do that with adb, but not in a SOTI script, apparently.
