Android for Work Divide for Productivity no longer supported

Hi Everyone,

Looking for guidance as Divide for Productivity is no longer in the Google Play store. We have some hardware(non Samsungs) that are using the Android for Work platform and we've configured the Exchange for Divide. We are now unable to install Divide for Productivity within the work space environment which means Exchange email can no longer be configured. I heard that Exchange for Gmail only works when you have register the domain via Google? Any other option I have?

Hi Ming,

Divide has reached the end of its lifecycle.

Gmail can now use Exchange to configure email. It can be assigned to the device through a profile and it does not require Divide as a proprietary email app.

You would simply need to push Gmail through MobiControl's Application Catalog rule. This is the only portion that requires the Managed Google Play Account to be configured.

Please feel free to log a case if you encounter any issues while implementing this, our support team would love to help!

Hi,

We've tried configuring "Exchange for Gmail" for Android for Work phone before but never got it to work. A case was opened and we got a response back saying "If your domain is hosted by Google then you can use Exchange for google." Our domain isn't hosted by Google.

Is Gmail present on the device?

If so, then you may have a different issue.
