Best practice to deploy O365 apps?

Our company is looking at using MobiControl without the use of Intune or Azure Endpoint Management. Unsurprisingly O365 apps are required for ~90% of our employees.

Given the current suggested method to deploy O365 apps (setup.exe + configuration XML) and a lack of an MSI installer, I was wondering if anyone has found a good method to deploy their O365 apps through Mobicontrol? Since there’s no support for .exe installers, I’ve wrapped it as an MSI and uploaded the installer, but my gut tells me there’s probably a better way that I’ve not thought of/seen yet.

Hello Topher,

Thank you for posting on SOTI Central!

Please confirm how are you currently pushing the applications to the devices using MobiControl?
FileSync or through a Package?

Currently I have the OfficeSetup.exe packaged in and MSI wrapper and uploaded to SOTI as a package.

Hello Topher,

Thank you for your reply.

Please confirm the manufacturer and OS versions of the devices you are trying to push O365 apps to?

All devices are running Windows 10 (I'm not worried about the few Win11 devices right now) and I unfortunately cannot give you a full list of manufacturers at the moment, but i can say they vary from Dells, HPs, Lenovos, ASUS, to MS Surfaces.
