soti v 15

agent v 14.5

android 10

device honeywell ck65

we have lockdown page lockdown = native, native notifications on

we have on lockdown page two items, outlook and an internal app

while on Lockdown page the "outlook" will show fine in the notifications bar

however when I open our internal app the "notifications bar" is hidden

the app seems to "hide" the notifications bar?

I've turned on activity suppression from native but that still doesn't do what

we need.  I want the notifications bar shown while that internal app is loaded,

otherwise the user can't see when an email is received, although the sound is heard

here is another pic while in app, no notification bar is showing

Update:  further testing, when the "floating home button" is disabled, as in the screen shot below, the "outlook notification" above will not show, however when "floating home button" is enabled it will show as above in the first pic only, doesn't fix my original question though,

on my zebra mc9300 when floating home button is enabled, it actually shows that floating home button but this may be a feature of android 11 because these ck65 have android 10

You mentioned it being an internal app which I took to mean an actual internally developed native android app installed on your devices. It sounds like instead that you are using Surf as the android app to access your internal web application. In that case have you looked at the SOTI Surf configuration as well to see if it is set to full screen? Also, are you sure that you are actually launching Surf from the launcher and not a full screen in-app webview? Are your launcher shortcuts pointing to surf links, or to surf itself, or are they just browser links?

What is the behavior of the internal app when the lockdown is disabled? What is the behavior of the app installed on a device not managed by SOTI? It's possible for an app to request to be in full screen mode when launched so its possible that it is the app itself that is blocking the top bar and not your SOTI configuration.

when we have NO lockdown page and open surf the outlook notification bar is shown

I noticed that when lockdown is applied, when one first opens the "internal app" which begins to open soti surf, as soti surf

is opening one can see the notification bar, however once the app is loaded the notification bar is gone, either hidden or pushed up out of the way, i will attach a pick of soti opening

full screen was on in surf, however when I turn that off it makes no difference I can tell

lockdown screen is a follows:

also I called it internal app, it's web link to apex, some program they use, not really a "android" created app

when in the first link, I can take my finger and pull down the notification bar but it won't stay down, wish I could make it fixed and stay down

I think it's ok as is, users can pull down the notification bar when needed and read their emails as I've

run out of things to try

thanks for your help as always
