Please provide more details, such as

- version and build numbers of your device agent and server

- active MDM API's of you device agent

- settings of any feature control profile or application-run-control payload deployed to the device

- what expected notification(s) are missing and under what test conditions

- is the status bar totally disabled in your lockdown/kiosk?

etc. 

We are currently trialling version: 15.0.1.1181 for the portal and 14.1.1.1003 for the agent.

The status bar isn't disabled, and we can see the notifications appearing in this status bar.

We have our own unique apps that have been made for our company - there are 8 applications we would expect notifications for. I have checked the settings of the device and these apps do have notifications 'allowed' and we are seeing them appear in the status bar.

Our Feature Control is applied used to disable Bluetooth, Data Roaming, Multi Users and some data protection selections. We allow access to the status bar through this too.

It is just the Notification 'app' that isn't presenting the notifications. I understand that the icon isn't actually an app as such, however that as far as my knowledge is regarding this issue. I know that it was Soti support that helped us create it in our original solution (Version 13.4.0.5121).

I just happened to have a Samsung A70 (which is very similar to your Samsung A50) running Android 9 and MC AE device agent v14.1.3.1027.   Using

    Launch://com.android.settings/.Settings$NotificationStationActivity  

as a lockdown menu entry to display notifications was tested to be OK.   Maybe you can try upgrading your device agent from your  v14.1.1.1003  to  v14.1.3.1027 and test again if you are using Android Enterprise.  

For me, I have never used lockdown menu entry     action://net.soti.mobicontrol.VIEW_NOTIFICATIONS

for any production server of my customers as my tests showed that the implementation was not good enough for any production use.  So I could not help in any way if you want to continue using this approach to support viewing of notifications.

We would be happy to use another format - so using 'action://net.soti.mobicontrol.VIEW_NOTIFICATIONS' isn't essential. We will happily use the suggestion from yourself. I will upgrade the agent and see if this helps.

When I used ' Launch://com.android.settings/.Settings$NotificationStationActivity' it presented what appeared to be code-like text under each notification.

Active MDM API can be found under the item  "Agent version" in the "Device Configuration" tab of your device agent.

You're right that the  latest  .Settings$NotificationStationActivity on Android 9 now only shows information of the app issuing the notification and not the notification details themselves.   I'm not aware of this, as my company provide  cutomized and proprietary solution for our customers on their requests.

If you need to perform operations on notifications other than just viewing,  it might be better to use a third-party notification management app available on Google Play store.  I did a quick search and found free app such as https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.hcilab.projects.nlog.   Please perform thorough tests yourself to confirm which one actually fits your requirements.

Hi The Active MDM API states:

I have tried the application you have suggested however that also provides what appears to be code.

We would just be looking for something that presented the notifications that appear in the bar, and then when the notification is selected the corresponding app would open. That is what currently happens with our current solution with our old devices.

Are you aware of anything that could provide us with the notifications without being able to view the code or log details?
