Hello,

We need to push wifi certificate for more then 2000 android devices

Is it possible to do it through MobiControl via a profile? Or if you have any other method it will be appriciated?

We provide wifi ceritificates to our devices (together with a wifi profile to have all configured on the same time and together) for Android devices.
There you need as well provide an authentication profile if not already exist.

Its a profile called certificates and we have a root certificate and certificate templates on which is all following based on being setup in the console (Global settings - services - certificate authority).

I haven't set it up by my own but our network department did it this way:

  1. Global settings -> services -> certificate authority -> Add the authority and add templates
  2. Profiles -> Certificates -> Add the relevant certificates (Root, Issuing and Wifi) and tick the relevant template
  3. Profiles -> Wifi -> Setup the relevant Wifi with 802.1x Enterprise, the relevant protocol and choose the relevant CA certificate and template (and maybe other settings as well as username/password etc.)
    • We didn't need to provide an authentication profile because they already have one.
  4. provide it to the devices (of course a test device first)

Site node: Our devices where we have enrolled this are Android 10-13, so i don't know about your Android 9 and especially Android 6 devices if they support it.

I still didn't get a succeeded results. I still need a support from SOTI with detailed explanation. The docs in the SOTI site did not help on that.

Could you let us what type error you are having when implenting this ?

Are you using ADCS certificate?

As you mentioned that you would need support help on this and since thorough investigation might be needed on this matter. I would highly recommended that you log a case so that we can delve deeper into the matter.

We created a certificate authority

I added this certificate to a profile but it still on pending status on the device and the profile could not be installed

can you explain the correct steps to push the wifi-certificates to the devices?

I believe issue probably would be with the certificate configurations so i would suggest you to raise a case [log a case] for the same so that someone can guide you through the whole procedure.
