I wanted to add a custom attribute to an app policy under "advanced configuration" - managed app config - application configuration. Unfortunately, this does not work.
Does this work at all, if so, what am I doing wrong?

-Is the device supervised?
-Have you tried using macro provided by Rafael, did it help to resolve your issue?

Firstly, custom attribute macro is not referenced with prefix "MCCustomData:" as Rafael said, but should be referenced with prefix "CustomAttr:" instead.
Secondly, standard MobiControl macros that are supported for iOS/iPadOS AppConfig parameters are listed in the latest on-line documentation at
https://soti.net/mc/help/v15.6/en/console/reference/dialogs/rules/appcatalog/apple/appcatalog_addedit_advanced_ios.html.
There doesn't seem to have any support for custom attribute macro.
