USB option greyed out on Zebra Androïd 5.1

Good morning,

I'm actually trying to transfer some files from my Zebra TC75 device working on androïd 5.1 but I'm not able to detect the device with my computer.

In the settings, I can see that the option of USB are greyed out. I know that it's not my USB cable because it's working with another Zebra TC77 device working on 8.1

Is it greyed because of Soti ? Do you have any recommendation. Thank you

On soti for the TC75, I've tried by activated this in the feature control but it's not working

Hello,

I don't know well OS5.1, but it may be because of the profile restriction. You may check out Feature control settings, and if there is no profile assigned to this device, you can create a new profile and give related USB permission to assign this device.

I'm just wondering how many devices you have similar to this one, maybe there is USB issue related to hardware?

If you may have any test device with you, you can also try to unenroll this test device and check out whether the USB connection is working or not.

You might need to enable USB Debugging through Zebra MX. This can be achieved through an XML based package or with a StageNow barcode. Maybe start with the barcode and if that works then create the XML and distribute to your devices and process it via Package.

Hello Matt,

It worked in admin mode. I was able to select MTP to transfer file and to detect my android on my computer.

But when I came back to user mode, the option was greyed out again. I lost the configuration even by turning the admin mode again.

Could you tell me also how you configure this stageNow profile please and how to create it ? I have access to stageNow and I would like to try.

I suggest you familiarize yourself with Zebra's TechDocs which includes thorough documentation of all of the available MX offerings. I'm not going to be able to teach you everything there is to know so it's better that you learn it for yourself through documentation and experience with the tools.
