The MobiControl 2025.1.2 Installer (and propably other versions) does not detect if the current version 14.50.35710 probably because Microsoft changed the name of the runtime to "Microsoft Visual C++ v14 Redistributable"
The installer offers to install the missing requirements, but of course are not successfull because it would result in a downgrade of the allready installed VC runtime.

We are aware of this behavior and have observed it on some server instances as well. At the moment, the recommended workaround is to uninstall the existing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable from the server and then proceed with the installation using the MobiControl installer. Once MobiControl is successfully installed, you can upgrade the Visual C++ Redistributable to the latest version.
