Error DAC while installing MobiControl v15.6.0

Hello !

I encountered an error while installing the MobiControl v15.6.0 software that I want to configure on a local network.

Indeed, the error "Catastrophic upgrade failure; please restore to a previous version of MobiContro" appeared.

Itwaswritten "DAC Message: Message SQL0: The DAC history table will not be updated." at the same time on the installer. 

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

You seem to be upgrading rather than installing a new instance from scratch.   From your patchy information, I don't think any responsible person can give you any advice without asking 20 or much more questions about your implementation and details on what steps you have taken previously. 

Occasionally, someone may speak out and suggest this or that, without first asking sufficient questions to understand enough the real situation.     My advice to you is:  Don't listen to them, especially for big issues related to a server managing large number of production mission-critical devices.   Following what he/she suggests may make things worse.

I would have immediately performed a system fall-back to a VM snapshot or back-up copy if I see the message that you mentioned.  I hope you have already done so, and also sent e-mail to support@soti.net to have an official support case opened.

First of all, I wanted to apologize for the vagueness of my question. 
However, I do install a new instance from scratch. I have installed all the requirements and run the installer on a new PC. I'm not very knowledgeable about this subject and that's why I don't understand where the error comes from.

I have created a request by filling in the form to ask for help from the technical support and I am waiting for an answer.

Maybe this is a new error message introduced in MobiControl v15.6.0.   For problematic installation of  brand new instances done in the last ten years, I have never encountered any error message with similar wordings as those that you got.

If your MobiControl v15.6.0 is a brand new instance with no enrolled device under control/management, then you have much bigger freedom to do your trial and error installation, as you have no burden of worsening the situation by getting any enrolled devices out-of-control.   Hope you can get good suggestions from the Soti support team very soon.
