BatterySwapUIUsage tablet shutdowns

CR

Hello, I pushed xml settings from stagenow through soti onto zebra ET60:

<wap-provisioningdoc>
 <characteristic version="13.4" type="BatteryMgr">
    <parm name="SetCriticalLowThreshold" value="10" />
    <parm name="BatterySwapUIUsage" value="1" />
  </characteristic>
  <characteristic version="13.4" type="UiMgr">
    <parm name="StatusBarUsage" value="1" />
    <parm name="ShowBatteryPercentage" value="1" />
  </characteristic>
</wap-provisioningdoc>

when the battery is 10% the tablet shutdowns instead of displays a pop-up.

May you tell me why?

This is unfortunately how that setting is designed to work.

Hello Matt, thanks for your quick response.

So if when the critical low threshold setting is set the tablet shutdowns, how am I supposed to use the battery swap UI Usage setting?

Hello,

no the issue has not been resolved.

I don't understand how the parameter "BatterySwapUIUsage" works.

What is the threshold that this parameter use? Because if I set "SetCriticalLowThreshold" parameter, the tablet shutdowns as Matt responded to me.

Hi Corentin Rousseau,

The "BatterySwapUIUsage" parameter is intended to control how the device behaves when it is utilizing swappable batteries. If this parameter is set to "1," the intent is to enable the Battery Swap UI, which is designed to show prompts and notifications related to battery status and swapping.

Regarding the "SetCriticalLowThreshold" parameter, it defines the battery level at which the device should classify the battery as critically low. When you set it to 10%, the device interprets this as the point at which battery life is critically low. However, if the device's firmware or battery management settings are not fully configured to handle the prompt correctly, it may default to shutting down, bypassing the notification.

If you're still experiencing this issue, please open a support ticket so we can investigate and work towards a solution.
