SOTI Lockdown - Enable both Recents button and expanded status bar at the same time?

We use Android devices in our environment, and prevent system-wide access with SOTI's Lockdown menu. Currently we have Lockdown type as Avtivity Suppression, because we need to allow the expansion of status bar.

Some of our users have also asked if recents-button can be enabled, but it's only available on Native-side, and that side does not have option for expanded status bar.

Is there any way to enable both ot these at once using SOTI Lockdown, or are we out of options?

If your devices are running Android 9 or higher you can use the Native Android Enterprise mode of the lockdown to enable both Recents and the Notification Pull Down. I am not aware of any ability to enable the Recents button when using Activity Suppression mode.

Recents button can be enabled when using Activity Suppression mode, with some tweaks in Lockdown template's code. Depends on what template you are using.

In case of Dynamic Android Lockdown template:

1. you need to edit these variables: appsPlaceHolder, linksPlaceHolder, imagesPlaceHolder and imagesPlaceHolderExe (just remove MCDisp0, MCLink0, MCDispImg0 and MCExeicon0

2. first entry on your Home screen items in the lockdown configuration should be :  Launch://  com.android.launcher3   (display name: name it as you want, since it will not be displayed on the lock screen)

Tested on Zebra devices (TC52/53/8300, ET51/40).

Hi Antti,

A limited answer unfortunately, but if your devices are Panasonic Toughbook then this is possible via intent.

Thanks
Adam
