Since 13.3 we have deprecated the non-ELM (self-signed) agent for Samsung devices. This is a restriction applied by Samsung to all MDM software.

For customers who have legacy Samsung devices running Android 4.2 below (cannot run ELM agent), we use a script to circumvent this ELM agent restriction for them to upgrade to 13.3. After the upgrade, existing ELM devices would still function, and for any new enrollments, there is a general presumption that there should have no issue at all since OSs on almost all current devices are above 4.2.

However, we may forget to take into the consideration of network. The reality is that there is small chunk of customers who would prefer the non-ELM agents to enroll new devices because their MobiControl runs on an internal network with no Internet access which is required to activate ELM.

For this case, they should be advised NOT to upgrade to 13.3 because MobiControl blocks any non-ELM enrollment, which means they cannot enroll new Samsung devices anymore.

Our internal network uses a proxy server for external sites I can install the elm agent from the interanl soti instance we have but cannot complete the setup. I need to know what the external site is that agent needs to connect to inorder to complete the elm agent registration. I can add this site to our proxy servers & therefore complete regsitartion with the ELM based agent.
