how to get 5G network as preffered on samsung devices

I have about 100 Android+ devices of the type Samsung SM-G736B in SOTI, but their network preference is currently set to 4G/3G/2G (auto). I want to change this to 5G/4G/3G/2G (auto). Is there a script that allows me to force this change on all devices at once?

I do not want to do it manually one by one.

You can do this using KSP by providing the app by app policy (without managed data added) and provide the relevant setting via profile (oem config):

Don't you have an enterprise binfing in Global Settings -> Android -> Enterprise Binding (Managed Enterprise)?

I guess this is needed to do it this way.

Otherwise (if you don't want to do this), i guess you choosed enterprise app policy as you don't have a binding yet, just use the managed app config directly in the app policy.

But i normally try to split (if possible) app deployment and configuration.

In addition to what Rafael mentioned, As far as I know, you can also prefer Profile section instead of Policy for this if your MobiControl server version has this feature.

Visit Profiles and then find OEM configs as following:

I hope this helps, thank you

Hi that's what i told him to do first but failed as he wrotes.

I guess it's because they don't have an managed Google account (Enterprise binding) in place yet and maybe aren't planing to do so (?).

That's why i now showed how to do that without it.

Hi Rafael,

Tbh, I did not use AE device without AE binding earlier much, so I though Profile section OEM config does not require AE binding and above information was based on the App policy, sorry that I missed that you've already shared with. But I've just tested and yes it's stuck on the in progress without AE binding even from profile OEM section on my Samsung device.

Have a great weekend and thanks again!

Hi Rafael,

I sow that the app (KSP) is installed on the devices via the app policy, but my configuration through the profile (OEMConfig => Samsung) remains not installed (in pending). Did I overlook something?

config via profile:

Did you provide the KSP app as well via (enterprise) app policy?
That's required in addition to the profile.

Otherwise enable the debug mode (i guess you are only testing on test mobiles yet) and check if this brings you anything further.
