Deployment Server Logs - Inaccurate device date-time

Hi,

Is there a way to get the deployment server logs via REST API or any other way?

For some reason, some device times in the fleet are getting out of sync and my idea is to query the deployment server to check for the inaccurate device date-time warning log.

I mean ultimately, Id like to avoid the out of sync issue, but I am not understanding the root cause of that just yet

Instead of checking for any date-time warning log, I think it is more constructive to prevent the problem from happening.

What are the brand/model(s) of your devices?  Have you deployed any policy to sync device time w your MobiControl server or NTP server?

HI Raymond,

Devices are Android11, fully managed, Panasonic FZ-A3

I absolutely agree regarding fixing the root issue, following this post I started testing an advanced config->Time Sync Policy but I will need to check further if it works as I expect and also need to check whether all devices in the fleet operate in the same timezone.

I also have the ability to switch on the android Settings "use network provided time" and "use network provided timezone" via intent. I think this one seems the better option, do you have an opinion?

As for accessing the logs, I would also like to set-up some kind of automatic monitoring system "just-in-case". So any advice on how to get these via a REST API?

you do have option to get deployment server logs through API's in the latest version you can navigate to Mobicontrol API page of you console and check for the same

Also try setting up time synchronization in advanced config and see if that helps resolving your issue
