Agent Downgrade

We have a device using a custom agent. We started upgrading them in the last number of weeks but since upgrading the performance of our units has degraded, upon investigation it seems to be only affecting the units that have had the agent upgraded. We need to investigate further with assistance from SOTI however in the mean time these units need to be working correctly, as such it is suggested that we downgrade the agent. Is this possible, and if so, how. These are all remote so I won't have direct access to them.

The firmware of some device brands/models do support remote over-the-air downgrade of device agent.

What are the brands/models of your devices?

What about the version and build number of your device agent and the active MDM API's reported by the device agent?

The device is an "Amcs Group" product. Its based on a CompuLab CM-FX6

https://docs.soti.net/mobicontrolagentdownloads then select "Android - OEM Specific Agent and Plugins", then in manufacture select "Amcs Group". We've upgraded to the v13.6 (v13.6.0.1664) agent from the v13.0 (v13.0.0.33861).

Supported APIs: Enterprise 4.1, Android RC Plus v1.13.0.101

If you have the device in your hand, the simplest test is to download from Soti support site the older Android+ device agent apk, have it copied onto the device and tap on the apk file in a file-manager app to try to install the downgrade.   If it is reported that installation fails, then the device firmware does not allow agent downgrade and  you don't have further test if you can do it remotely.
