Greetings. On my SOTI server I have 30 different rules in the applications catalog. Rule 31 is applied to the devices, however in the application manager it is not displayed to download. Is there any limit on rules?

Hi all, sorry for updating an old thread but it may be useful for anyone with the same issue.
SOTI received confirmation from Google yesterday that there is indeed a 30 app catalogue rule limit for managed Google Play Applications.
The good news is that once I reduced the number of app catalogue rules for managed Google Play Applications back to a max of 30, then they started working again and the changes picked up be the devices. It does mean that I will need to follow your advice and create additional bindings.
Google have added the ability for SOTI to increase this limit, but they will need to add this feature into MobiControl in a future release.
John.
There is no such limit.
To what platform(s) do your app-catalog rules belong?
What are the version and build numbers of your MobiControl server?
Android Plus.
It does not work as a managed profile or managed device.
Server version is 14.2.2.1170
Hello Ivan - Can you please contact SOTI Support and create a ticket for this, as this needs investigation. Thank you!
Hi Raymond,
I am having a similar issue now and SOTI is suggesting that there is a 30 app catalog rule limit which is a major issue for me.
Did you every come across anything similar?
John.
Hi Ivan, did you get a chance to report this to SOTI? If so what was the result (known fault or fixed)?
John.
Hi John,
I have found no such limitation (for Android+ and Android Enterprise) in app-catalog rules of our latest v13.4.0 test/demo server.
I haven't tested this on our v14.3.2 server yet. Even if there is such limitation, you can always choose to add more than one app-catalog rules, all associated with the same Managed Google Play account, and the rules all targeted to the same set of devices/device-groups.
Of course, if you have a different set of apps to be deployed to another set of devices, these devices should be enrolled with another Managed Google Play account, and you can also have more than one app catalog rules (associated with this MGP account) targeted to your second sets of devices.
Cheers Raymond, good advice.
The limitation is only a suggestion from the devs at mo but if correct, could be possibly part of 14.3.x as I think I was ok on 14.2.x ?
Must admit my previous attempts to connect the SOTI server to additional Managed Google Play accounts ended in a lot of pain but I will defiantly re-try as looks straight forward :)
However the devices affected are already with customers and I do not know how to re-enroll devices without manual intervention.
I am planning to replace a number of devices shortly, so I will need to put together a plan before then.
John.
