I would like to ask how we can switch SIM-managed devices to LTE / 4G mode via a script or any alternative method. Currently, the devices are using 5G, but the connection is not as stable as expected.
Could you please advise on possible methods to lock the devices to LTE / 4G mode?
I don't know any.
I also checked several oem config apps from 3 different vendors, none of them is providing this possibility.
You could reach out to the manufacturer of your devices if they can build that in but most likely not or at least will take a lot of time and also maybe additional needs a firmwareupdate of the devices as well.
Maybe someone knows a script to do so by intent or so, but i haven't seen one yet.
Without your device brand/model information, it's hard to check if there is any OEMConfig compliant app that provide such support.
One workaround is to arrange with the carrier to have an APN that supports 4G/LTE only.
