Hello,

I have mobicontrol on version 14.4.9 and we used zebra TC75X under android 7 (enrollement android+)

device agent is on version ->14.1.6

On admin console, there is a field RSSI with a value -> i have actually for one device connected in GSM this value -127.

But when i look inside the device -> setting / about / state / state of sim card -> i have for strength signal this value -81

Why there is this difference ?

Someone can tell me ?

I need to investiguate because we have some device with the value of RSSI -> -200 and these devices meets problems when they syncs..

thanks

"Network RSSI" refers to the sognal strength for Wifi network (non-real-time, thus may be the strength reported in last check-in), and has nothing to do with your cellular (GSM, etc.) signal strength, which is reported in another field "Cellular Signal Strength".

From some of my tests, it seems that if a device has only previously been connected to a Wifi connection which is not active any more, the Network SSID may be removed in the "Device Details" view, but the "Network RSSI" field errorneously remains and reports a seemingly meaningless value of -127.  So, you can ignore this value.

Most of the values you see in the MobiControl console are snapshots taken at a moment in time when the device had a scheduled check in, they are not real time values. I could be wrong about this but I also believe that is a reflection of the WiFi signal strength and not the cellular signal strength. If a device is GSM connected I'm not surprised to see an odd value in that column.
