Samsung S25 enrollment issues

DH

Hi everyone
We're unable to enroll s25 devices with android 15 ((Android Enterprise enrollment) on our MobiControl server (v15.1.5.1005). Can you help us? Do we need to try with some other .apk version through Stage Programmer?

Thanks. Regards

Have you successfully enrolled any Android15 devices onto your v15.1.5 server?  If so, check the Android Enterprise agent version used, and maybe try enrolling your Samsung S25 again with the same AE device agent version.

Hello,
thanks for your quick response

Indeed, this is the first Android 15 device that we have. We are going to start the server update project (from v15.1.5 to v2025)

I think the best way would be to migrate the devices to a new server, perhaps through a script with which they stop talking to the old server and talk to the new one (we already did this to upgrade from our first version which was from 2013). I don't know if this is still possible with temporal grace licenses...

I don't think upgrading is the best option since we come from a SQL express version, and we also have to make an intermediate jump to v16 of MobiControl

Thanks for your help

Regards

Please note that upgrading an MDM server is no mean feat and have lots of factor to consider and plan.

Without thorough tests with more devices, it is premature to say that your current MobiControl server cannot support enrollment of all/most Android 15 devices.

Also,  if your existing server has tens of thousands of older device and just a handful of Android 15 devices,  is it worth the effort to upgrade now?   The compatibility of your existing enrolled devices in the new v2025 server need to be studied and tested beforehand.

Hello,
We're running update tests on our test server. Both servers (test and production) are running virtual machines, so we can rewind with snapshots if we encounter any issues.

All our devices are Android Enterprise, running Android 9 or higher. We understand there shouldn't be any compatibility issues, right?

Thank you all.
