Lenovo P11, after update to Android 14, remote access doesn't work

Hello all, this week our Lenovo P11s are updating to Android 14 from 13. The p11s that have not updated yet still work with remote access. The P11s that have updated... do weird things, the screen is not full screen, can't use gestures to access the app list or switch apps (this is an issue as the P11s don't have a show button option).

What I have tried:

1) Soft reset

2) switching to admin mode and checking for any stuck messages about the update, dismissing the messages does not resolve the display issue or remedy remote access control of the tablets.

3) attempted to send the agent, error: latest agent already installed

4) switched them all to admin mode and physically checked notifications and update messages, did not help.

help?

If remote control is your mission critical requirement, haven't you done any test on a handful of this Lenovo P11 device models before allowing mass-scale upgrade of all production devices to Android 14?

Remote access is not mission critical.. I was hoping someone would be able to give me an idea of how long it takes for the SOTI agent to be updated so that this issue can be resolved by pushing a new agent to it. Also is this something that needs to be reported in another channel, so that the next agent version overcomes the problems?

Hi David Bennett,

Thank you for your post on SOTI Pulse. Raymond Chan thank you for responding to the post your expertise and willingness to help are greatly appreciated!

Based on your post, it seems that the device currently allows only a remote view rather than the full remote control. If this is correct, please refer to the article linked below for guidance on resolving the issue.

I recommend trying to install the Soti Generic Plugin or the Zebra Plugin through the device profile and observing any changes in behavior. The article also provides further troubleshooting steps.

If my understanding of the issue is incorrect, please let me know, and feel free to provide more details. I'll be happy to assist you as soon as possible.
