abortpkg in prei script

JW

Hi.

Pertaining to windows ce devices....

If I use abortpkg in prei script, it marks it as

Failed to Install (Prescript Abort)

in the device configuration tab.

When it checks-in during the next scheduled update, will it try to re-install the package automatically (i do have it set to auto-install in the profile|assign|options tab)?

If not, any idea how I can get it to re-try those failed installs automatically during next scheduled checkin/update?

Hi James,

Thanks for the interesting post!

Script 'abortpkg' aborts the installation of a package and forces it to show up as "Failed" in MobiControl Web Console, when used in a MobiControl pre-install script. During the next check-in when the required conditions are met, it should install the package on the device as expected.

If the issue still persists, we need to grab the device and server logs for further investigation.

The pkg doesn't re-install upon next check-in.
