I used StageNow to change the name.
when i use the script to verify the name it shows the IP address of the device.

If you are trying to rename device with its Host name then firstly you can try  by going  under  that device action   and try to rename with host name by using %HOSTNAME% macro and there are some other list of macro mentioned for your assistance.

If it does not work then kindly try to use the following script showmessagebox "Your device's Hostname is %HOSTNAME%" and see what is getting displayed on device side, is it coming with hostname.

Since this is a zebra device so you can also try to use stage now instruction to set up a profile to execute this

I found out that it depends on which Android version Zebra is installing. In Android 10, we can easily change the name but it's more complicated in earlier versions.

But it's not "HOSTNAME".
