The status bar as a whole belongs to a higher hiearchical level than an ordinary app such as Soti Surf.
What are the version and build numbers of your Soti Surf, device agent, and device firmware?
Are you using Soti Surf in kiosk mode, and the app itself being an item (or even the only item or single-app mode) of Mobicontrol lockdown menu? If not, would you consider using lockdown menu policy?
Hello Raymond,
I'm using SOTI SURF in kiosk mode.
If i dont enable the kiosk mode, the device show me the status bar, but if i try to enable the kiosk mode, Soti SURF works as a FULL SCREEN and the status bar disapear.
I'm using also Lockdown mode, and here the status bar it's showed.

You could disable the fullscreen mode of Soti surf (the setting is there in the profile) so you get back the notification bar being visible.
The enable/disable FULL SCREEN mode it's not working in KIOSK MODE, so the KIOSK MODE it's always in FULL SCREEN...
it's right ?
I am talking about this setting in Soti surf, but not sure if the kiosk mode will override this:
![]()
Then maybe you have to decide which setting is more important: kiosk mode or showing battery information because then it sounds very like "wad" (works as designed).

Hi Marco,
I do not have any Honeywell device on hand to do any test, so the following is my educated guess based on experience and tests on other brands/models.
If you are using locdown menu in native mode and there is only one kiosk item, namely Soti Surf, then you likely do not need to force Soti Surf to Kiosk Mode.
Just use launch://net.soti.surf in the item definition, and enable the option "Launch Automatically on Start-up". If it is desirable to make the secure browser visible and skip the lockdown menu visually, then the option "Enable Single App Mode" can be enabled. The "System Information" option should be enabled for battery and other information to be shown in the status bar. The "Recents Button", "Home Button" and "Full Device Lockdown" should also be disabled.
Assuming Soti Surf is primarily used to run some proprietary web apps and not intended to go to arbitrary sites, following options of Soti Surf profile payload should typically be set:
- Full Screen Mode : Disabled (Also set NOT to be user-configurable)
- Hide Address Bar : Enabled
- Auto-Refresh : Disabled
- Allow Debugging : Disabled
However, please be warned that without access to Soti Device Agent in the lockdown menu, it might be impossible to easily get the device into admin mode for fixing problem in case there are tricky wrong MDM policy combination deployed or buggy firmware installed.
