I cannot confirm but that would make logical sense. The standard, non-"Enhanced" version of MAC randomization will maintain the usage of the same randomized MAC for a given network that has been saved. It will only generate a new random MAC if that network is forgotten and then resaved, or if the device is otherwise reset.
Hi Remy,
Thank you for posting on SOTI Pulse, and a big thanks to Matt for their valuable input—their expertise and willingness to help are greatly appreciated!
Yes, if the feature for enhanced Wi-Fi MAC randomization is disabled on Samsung devices, they should retain the same randomized MAC address for a previously configured SSID. Normally, when MAC randomization is enabled, devices use different MAC addresses to connect to networks to enhance privacy. However, by disabling this feature, the device should revert to using its original MAC address for that specific SSID.
To ensure consistent behavior regarding MAC addresses, you should verify that all relevant configurations are set correctly and that no conflicting policies or settings are applied.
