Ideally I get them straight from the developer as an official APK. In a lot of cases I am the developer. In other cases I work to establish relationships with the developer directly so that we can source official APKs and not have to go through unofficial channels like APK mirror sites or less desirable channels like Google Play.

Hi Sean,

Thank you for posting on SOTI Pulse.

Can you elaborate on the need to source APKs, please?

If your intention is to deploy Android Applications, your best bet would be to create a new App Policy and rely on our Managed Google Play feature. This will give you a lot of control and allow you to deploy apps effectively to your Android devices.

Other alternatives are to obtain official APKs from your application partners and deploy them as packages or use the "Private App" feature within the Managed Google Play iFrame.
