Push eSIM to iPhone using LPA string

We need to push an esim to a remote iphone but only have the LPA string from the QR code. This conntains the eSIM server URL but also some activation details. Is it possible to push this to the device using the Update eSIM Cellular plan option?

Would I paste the whole string or just the server URL?

Hi Jake,

Greetings from SOTI.

Thanks for posting on SOTI Pulse.

Please confirm if you have raised any support ticket for your issue, if not, kindly let me know so that I can proceed with creating ticket for you.

Additionally, You need to paste the entire LPA string (the full activation string from the QR code), not just the server URL. This full string is usually a long URI—sometimes called an IMSI or activation code string—that fully describes the eSIM profile. Just providing the server URL alone is insufficient for provisioning.

Also, feel free to reach out if you need clarification or have any follow-up questions.

Incase of any further concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Have a great day ahead

Kind Regards

Thank you for the reply. I do have a ticket open with SOTI but I'm not 100% clear on the details

Would the string include: LPA:1$

or do I just take the detail from after $? The command only seems to send if I include https:// but still doesn't seem to work.

Hi Jake,

Thank you for your reply.

The Update eSIM Cellular Plan generally requires the full activation URL beginning with https://excluding the LPA:1$ prefix.

So you should paste only the URL part after the $ sign, including the https://.

Example:

If your full string is:

LPA:1$https://sm-dp2.carrier.com/Activate?profile=abc123&iccid=...

You should enter:

https://sm-dp2.carrier.com/Activate?profile=abc123&iccid=...
