Allow only specific app to notify on kiosked managed device

Hello,

I would like to allow only a specific app (business app) to push android notifications (status bar and lock screen) on a kiosked managed device. Is there a simple way to do that ? Script or Feature Control ?

Go the Settings / Sound & notification / Notification and manually disable all apps notifications seems rather tedious to me especially on many devices..

Environment :

Version of the server : 13.4

Device Family : Android Plus

I also see in the Feature Control for Android Enterprise the option "Disable All Notifications" but then, by checking this option, is there any way to allow a specific application to notify ?

Many thanks for your help and answers.

Hello Yoan,

At the moment this feature does not exist. However you can disable these manually on the device as you stated.

The feature is already requested and you can check the release notes https://docs.soti.net/soti-mobicontrol/release-notes/ for the updates on the reference code MC-69469 raised to accommodate this feature.

Has there been any movement on MC-69469? I didn't see it in any of the release notes. This is a pretty big loophole on kiosk/lockdown devices.

Hi Ian,

Thanks for posting your concern.

The Feature Request is currently in progress and I have reached out to Product Managers to provide an insight on when can we expect this implementation to be released. I will notify you on the same post when I hear an update from them.

Meanwhile, we will proceed creating a support case for you to emphasize the need of this feature.

Regards,
