I would like to update the Google App such as Chrome. How do I do this?
I have already added Chrome as a profile, but nothing happens.
Add an app policy containing Google and Chrome and assign it to the relevant device(s).
I have done that, but nothing happens.
The policy for the app version only says "Varies with device".
I can select it manually, but it doesn't work automatically.
Please provide more information then:
Did you provide a profile containing "Managed Google Play" settings? There are settings to be made when app updates should be made.
It could also take some time they are made depending on the device state (device has to be unused for example).
Do you see the apps appear on the google playstore on the device?
What are the version and build numbers of your MobiControl server and device agent?
What about the brand/model and firmware version of your devices? What are the active MDM API's reported for such devices?
Did you get consistent failure for all devices of the same model/firmware? What about device of other brand/model?
Is the problem specific to Google Chrome? Have you tried other apps and find the same update problem in a consistent manner? Please share your test results?
Have you checked the server log files for any warning/error messages related to such app updates?

Thanks for posting on SOTI Pulse and thanks Rafael and Raymond for responding to the post.
As Matt suggested, it could also take some time they are made depending on the device state (the device has to be unused for example).
Would you like to push Managed Google Play Profile as "always update" and test it from your side and let us know?
