    iOS Shared Device - Google account remains on the device upon log out

    Hello. I've set up Shared Device for iPads, with the goal of only having Soti MobiControl, Soti MobiControl Login, and Settings (system) visible when no one's logged in. Once a user logs in, the device moves to a different folder where the app policy pushes about 15 work apps - mostly Google apps like Gmail, Chat, Drive, etc. The issue I’m running into is that when a user logs out, the device clears data for all the managed apps except the Google ones. So when the next user logs in, they find the previous user still signed in to those apps - not ideal at all. I do have a Feature Control that allows Safari (only because we need JavaScript permissions), but it’s blacklisted using Application Run Control. However, during testing I discovered Safari seems to be caching the previous user's credentials. Even though apps get reinstalled after logout, the saved logins are somehow still there. To cover some basics: Yes, we have the integration between Apple Business Manager and Google Workspace. Google Workspace is linked with Soti for end-user authentication. Shared iPad (Apple’s version) isn’t an option here because it requires Microsoft Entra user group assignments (from Soti side), which we don’t have set up. Just wondering if anyone’s come across this or has ideas for how to better handle this setup? I'm open to workarounds or even a totally different approach if it solves the problem. Appreciate any insights, thank you

    Change password of the google account used for work managed devices

    If I change the password of this account what will happen with the devices that have that account already configured? Do they get disconected? Do the apps get removed?  Can you still configure this account remote on a large number of devices?

    Google Maps - Screen Locks - Zebra

    Currently we are trialing TC57X devices. We are planning to use these for drivers that need to use Google Maps however I have been told that the screen times out after 30 minutes which means the driver needs to pull over and unlock the device to continue to use maps. I understand a device timing out when an app is not launched however I would assume that if maps is in use a device would stay unlocked? 30 minutes is the max limit within settings. Zebra TC77 Android Enterprise Enrolled Device with Stagenow but Assistant is not disabled Solved

    I have a zebra TC77 device that is enrolled and locked down and everything seems perfect, except for the fact that if you hold the home key you will get the popup for Google Assistant. I have no idea why it is happening with this group of devices because every other group I have deployed this way is not having this issue. (see photo) I am super new to Soti so I assume I am missing something but I am hoping that it is something that I can just turn off on the Soti side and not have to do on the Zebra StageNow side. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Tim

    Create Google account

    Hi! Google has some limitations when creating "too many" Google accounts from the same IP/location.You need to verify your identity via a phone number. I have also sent a case to Google about this but do anyone know if there are some kind of workaround? The reason for creating multiple Google accounts is that we want to divide the Managed Google Play and not use the same account for all solutions/customers. We are also managing it all and we don't want the customer to be able to do anything in regards of this. We have even tried using the function to use our own e-mail address rather than creating a Gmail one but still even after verifying the e-mail we need to have a valid phone number... Are there any discussions going on from SOTI about this? Maybe the possibility of creating a Google account via a request from MobiControl? Which will bypass these checks?

    can we allow users to sign in to Google Maps using android enterprise device?

    We have pushed Google Maps out to our Android enterprise enrolled devices (Samsung A7 lite). Google Maps opens and works fine, however when one of our users tries to sign into Maps with their account, we get a message that says "Action not allowed". Am I missing something in the configuration or feature control of the app? we would like to let our users log in with their accounts so they can have all their pins and favorites.

    Here is a policy to lock a device on Chrome and restrict Chrome, what is the best way to make this work on an enrolled device? Solved

    Good Morning, I was wondering what the best way to get the following policy to work with SOTI and our devices. The policy's goal is to restrict Chrome and whitelist one of our companies approved sites. Below is a current example:  {"applications": [{"packageName": "com.android.chrome","installType": "FORCE_INSTALLED","managed_configuration": {"URLBlacklist": ["*"],"URLWhitelist": ["test.webapps.jacam.com"]},"lockTaskAllowed": true,"defaultPermissionPolicy": "GRANT"}],"persistentPreferredActivities": [{"receiverActivity": "com.android.chrome","actions": ["android.intent.action.MAIN"],"categories": ["android.intent.category.HOME","android.intent.category.DEFAULT"]}],"statusBarDisabled": true}

    Manage users setting on devices

    Hello everyone, Got few questions here, and hope someone would help me figure out the best way to solve those. I'm still a beginner in this environment, so i try to learn everyday about what i can do...and how, don't hesitate to tell me if there is some  complete doc somewhere that I maybe didn't see. So here's the case We got (atm) 200+ devices (Memor10) Each of them are allocated to specifi subgroup (Our shops) Til now, they only used basic home made app...so no real problem over there...but here's the one coming. - Soon, they will also need to access our Exchange mail server on them , but to do so...they would need a user certificate...each one would be different on each subgroup. and basically hard to keep track of so ?! Saw there was way to integrate LDAP and Exchange directly linked to Mobicontrol , Would it avoid the certifcate need so? that way user would only be prompt about User / Mdp and would log in directly ? - Second thing  ,they will have the need to gain (also ) access to google Nest. Is there a way to avoid creating separete personnal Gmail account for each? or manage them directly from Mobicontrol ? the point is so be sure each can only see their own camera. I saw some paper talking bout using Google workspace instead of a single account (like I do atm). Here's the situation... I'm open to any idea or suggestion :)

    How to clear storage and cache from Google app via script Solved Locked

    Hi, I have an issue where the built-in app Google keeps crashing on Zebra TC26 terminals running Android 10. As far as I can figure out, the package name is: com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox So I found out that clearing the storage and clearing the cache and then rebooting the device solves the issue. I have a few hundred of these devices with this error, so I need to do it by script. Preferrably schedule it once every day. Tried this command from SOTI MobiControl, but it seemed it did nothing: wipeapplication com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox How can I do this? Regards  Jarl

    Version Control Agent & Apps via Managed Google Play

    Hello, how exactly would you realise somewhat of version control in android enterprise for things like agent updates and app updates (public). And how exactly is the agent update and app update handled by the managed google play store? What are the criteria that must be met in order of the play store to update the app / agent. ( i know you can manage app updates ) But that arent many options to choose from, we´d like to somewhat test new app and agent updates before they are silently pushed and installed on all the ae devices. What is your approach to this and what am i maybe missing? Thanks in advance. Kind regards John
