We have pushed Google Maps out to our Android enterprise enrolled devices (Samsung A7 lite). Google Maps opens and works fine, however when one of our users tries to sign into Maps with their account, we get a message that says "Action not allowed". Am I missing something in the configuration or feature control of the app? we would like to let our users log in with their accounts so they can have all their pins and favorites.

Make sure you have properly configured the "Allow Account Creation" option of feature-control profile payload to be deployed to your AE device of interest.

However, you might need to implement our MobiControl policies against data-leakage, unathorized personal app deployment,  or other problems if you allow any personal Google account to be created on a device.

Yup, its worth mentioning that the user won't just be logging into Google Maps in most cases, they will be logging into the whole device with a Google Account which therefore could give them personalized access to other services like Play, Drive, Gmail, Youtube, etc.

Hello Daniel,

Just following up on this post! Has your issue been resolved? If so, can you mark the post as 'Solutioned' or let us know how it was resolved? As Raymond suggested a possible reason you are getting that error is that security options section of the feature control profile is set to no accounts.
