We need to update messaging app to new native Google Messages app, (current Samsung messaging app is prompting there is a update), but new message app is allowing for google sign in, can we disable this?

This Google messaging app is not enterprise friendly, there are no options to configure it in app policy and users can sign in with their personal google accounts. Is there a way to get around this? Or what's an alternative?

The only way i know of doing this, is to disable the addition of google accounts at a device level via profiles -> Feature control -> security tab -> allow account creation. That would prevent them from being able to sign in.

As you have found out yourself, there's no option via managed config.

Thank you! This wouldn't prevent the enrollment process where the devices enroll into google play and create an account?

No, this is independent.

We use fully managed with a managed google account for app distribution but disallow any account creation on the devices.

Thank you, this is working, giving" failed to add account. please try again." and also a message (very quickly) "action not allowed" before going back to home screen.

Also looks like Gemini won't work unless the user signs in! That is a plus for us.
