We have an existing Android Enterprise profile that we use use with various Android models. We would like to use SAMSUNG Galaxy A12 going forwards. I just wanted to check if this is likely to work in the same way or are Samsungs limited to Samsung Knox functionality only?
Samsung Knox libraries have been evolving over the years to support their various device product lines, and I see no particular reason one should worry too much about their compatibilities with Android-Enterprise platform on new Samsung devices such as Galaxy A12. Some Knox library functions are used to support basic functionalities offered by AE platform, but many extra functionalies offered by Samsung Knox libraries are available for configuration via the "Knox Service Plug-In" app freely available from Managed Google Play store.
I don't have any A12 to test with, but for all the 15+ Samsung devices models I tested in the last 2 years or so, all were running fine with Android Enterprise. To be 100% sure, you have to get a sample/test A12 device (running the firmware image targeted to your country) to perform thorough tests, especially on the critical features required by your use case.
