If I install an Android application (Owncloud) via SOTI Mobicontrol from the managed Play Store and later try to run it, the app will not be usable—I only receive the following message: 'Blocked by your IT admin.' No additional restrictions have been set (e.g., application run control or feature control...). If I run the same Android app on a managed device without SOTI Mobicontrol, it works fine. Parameters: Device type: Android Enterprise Device family: Android Plus OS version: Android 12 Android status: Provisioned / Enabled with managed Google Play accounts Management type: Work-managed device What can cause the application to run?
I have a Bluebird EF500 model. I want to enroll Android Enterprise. How to do it on first screen? I have perform Factory Reset and the device has erase everything and it restart to welcome screen. From there, I don't know how to enter the android enterprise to insert enrollment ID.
HiI've noticed that some devices that I've enrolled recently do not show the MAC address of the device in the Mobicontrol device details. I use this information to be displayed on the Lockdown screen for support reasons since the MAC address is used in the firewall.MAC randomization is off. Both are running the same Agent version (15.3.3.1069) and are the same OEM version (11-20-18.00-RG-U00-STD-HEL-04) Mobicontrol version: 15.6
Hello all, I would like to add apps to our Mangaged Play Store that only a certain group of devices can see. The other apps should then be visible to other devices. Does anyone here have an idea how I can restrict this?
Hello all, we have imported configurations to the device on a number of Zebra TC52x using the Velocity file Assistant app (The app will sync/copy all the velocity configuration files from /sdcard/com.wavelink.velocity folder to /sdcard/Android/data/com.wavelink.velocity/files folder after starting velocity). Unfortunately, due to a change in the profile name, we are now seeing two profiles. Due to Android 11, we cannot simply delete the files via the file browser. In the Ivanti community we came across the following article:https://forums.ivanti.com/s/article/Android-11-Non-Android-enterprise-Method-to-deploy-files-from-MDM-using-Velocity-File-assistant-app?language=en_US Here it is shown that with the following intent the files/profiles can be deleted: Intent intent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW); intent.setComponent(ComponentName.unflattenFromString("com.wavelink.velocityfileassistant/.FileUpdate")); intent.putExtra("com.wavelink.velocityfileassistant.extra.CLEAN", true); try { startActivity(intent); } catch (ActivityNotFoundException e) { // Velocity File Assistant was not found Unfortunately, this does not seem to be the correct syntax for MobiControl. Do any of you have an idea how the intent has to look exactly so that we can delete the profiles? We would be very grateful for any help! Kind Regards Keno
Hi! Google has some limitations when creating "too many" Google accounts from the same IP/location.You need to verify your identity via a phone number. I have also sent a case to Google about this but do anyone know if there are some kind of workaround? The reason for creating multiple Google accounts is that we want to divide the Managed Google Play and not use the same account for all solutions/customers. We are also managing it all and we don't want the customer to be able to do anything in regards of this. We have even tried using the function to use our own e-mail address rather than creating a Gmail one but still even after verifying the e-mail we need to have a valid phone number... Are there any discussions going on from SOTI about this? Maybe the possibility of creating a Google account via a request from MobiControl? Which will bypass these checks?
Hi everyone , Got a few question for all of you, hopping someone will have a better idea that the one I had. Ok so, here's the situation, we own around 180 Memor10 at the moment , 2 for each shop we own. At first we managed to seperate things the way we used to do before as ; - 3 Groups ; Production , Development , Testing- One Sub groups for each shops we own. Got a relocating rules that force device to correctly assigne to the correct store based on their IP Adress. Here's the problem... we need sometime to make some test over new app we release, so I assign the new / test version to DEV / Test Profile (wich are assign to group of same name) and manually move sub-group to the parent one. Doing this I Loose my relocating rule everytime and it take lot of time to make thing clear and straight again. Lately ..I found about Custom attributes, wich seem to be a new way to work for that... as I could just put everyone in the same groupe, and create virtual group based only on this custom Attribute. My problem is...is there a way to "massively" change or reset those custom attributes? I mean...everyone could have "PROD" attribute by default...change it to "TEST" for a while, that way profile would update correctly. But then I would neeed to reset everything back after testing is done. Sometime it's one shop...sometimes got to do it on 40... That's why i'm here today...hoping maybe someone already had this kind of situation and found a way to work that may suits us too. Thanks in advance.
Struggling bad with this. I can't get newly enterprise enrolled Samsung S21's running Android 12 (Has happened on S10s running 11 as well) to work with SOTI Surf consistently. Every time we open SOTI Surf or tap on a link in an Outlook email we see the message 'Your request has been declined for security reasons'. This happens on a majority of devices being enrolled as part of an enterprise binding. Brand new devices factory reset and as soon as Surf is installed it happens. However if we keep resetting the devices sometimes 4 or more times it will eventually work without the errors. It's taken a 15 minute process and made it 4 to 6 hours per device. We did find that if we change the SOTI Surf configuration from Catalog home page to Web home page the startup error message doesn't happen, but the web link in an email from Outlook still causes it. Anyone?
Hello, I have problem with getting remote control on MC930B Android 8.1, agent verion 15.1.0.1045, MobiControl version 15.3.0.6711. Device don't have connection to internet so we instaled MC with GoogleMobiControl1510_1045.apk file, I installed plugin Zebra_Hawkeye_RC_AE_1.6.0.102 using profile in mobicontrol. After all I got only Remote View option and no Remote Control option. Tried different plugins, with no result.
I use Android Enterprise Devices (Zebra TC57 + TC27) on MobiControl 15.1. I want to open a defined URL with chrome after clicking the OK button. This script just opens chrome, because i cant find a way to define a URL... var buttonLabels = ['OK'];mobicontrol.message.createInfoDialog('Text for Messagebox').withButtons(buttonLabels[0]).withCallback(onConfirm).show(); function onConfirm(result) {if (result.buttonIndex != null) {mobicontrol.log.info('The OK button was clicked');mobicontrol.app.start('com.android.chrome');}} This old sendintent script works fine but there's no way to put this in a showmessagebox. sendintent -a "https://google.com#Intent;action=android.intent.action.VIEW;end"
In after AE enrollment some times the android identity is not assigned and we are getting an error Error message received from device (Managed Google Play Account Status:'PLAY_STORE_NOT_FOUND') I have given a command for reset command and checkin also but same issue.
We have a number of Samsung Phones (A20e) that we are running in KIOSK mode, I am wanting to let the device use the phone app and have added an entry in the policy that I believe should allow the phone app to run: launch://com.samsung.android.dialer The phone app is there and you can enter a phone numbewr, but it will not allow it to dial and connect, this works on our other devices running as AndroidPlus devices Is there another setting that needs entering somewhere?
Hi Everyone, We got info that by using the Android Enterprise v.15.0.1.1051 agent, devices with Android 7 and above will support remote control. but after I tried it on the xiaomi redmi 6a device it couldn't run, but in detail the Supported APIs device has changed to RC Virtual Display. has anyone tried it and it worked on a xiaomi device? reference,https://discussions.soti.net/kb/remote-control-support-on-android-enterprise-without-requiring-oem-specific-capabilities-or-oem-specific-plugin/
we have a problem with our samsung client device, which when we use the remote control we can't access the device's sdcard. we've tried restarting the device and changing the remote control mode but still can't access the sdcard.
I am looking for a way to rename a device with a user specified name. I would like to prompt the user for the asset number and then use that in the device name. I got that information with a Java script: var file = new mobicontrol.io.File('/sdcard/asset.txt'); mobicontrol.message.createTextPromptDialog('What is the asset tag number?').withCallback(onOk).show(); function onOk(result) { if (result.inputText != null) { file.writeText(result.inputText); } } But when I try to use that information to rename the device I get an error saying Set isn't a valid command: set myVar=TXT:/sdcard/asset.txt?LN=1 devrename %myVar% Is there a way to either do this all in 1 Java script command? Or is there a way to set the variable from the legacy script?
