Are they going to increase the filesync limit from 2GB to allow the upload of Android 13 Full updates?

Hi Andy,

i found that 2GB Limitation only in Context with "Content Library"

https://www.soti.net/mc/help/v15.6/en/console/data/contentlibrary/contentlibrary.html?hl=using%2Ccontent%2Clibrary

When you config a File Sync Rule i had never heard a lImitation.

Version 15.6:

https://www.soti.net/mc/help/v15.6/en/console/reference/dialogs/rules/filesync/androidplus/filesync_androidplus.html

Version 2024.1.0:

https://www.soti.net/mc/help/v2024.1/en/console/reference/dialogs/rules/filesync/android/creating_file_sync_rules_for_android.html?hl=file%2Csync

Other way can be that you use the "Zebra OTA" function - for that must have each Device the Service Contract.

Or you create a profile in Stage Now and use it then for updating the deivce, you can select then where it should download the ZIP Package and install it then.

Yes, it's trying to upload to the Content Library. Should update to allow up to 3GB

We have opened a ticket to get the Full Update uploaded.

Thanks

Andy

Eventually, maybe. In the mean time you have to open a case with SOTI support and have them place the file onto the cloud instance on your behalf so that it can be referenced in a File Sync rule. Its certainly painful compared to what we're used but better than not having an alternative. Note that the File Sync rule is capable of delivering a >2GB file to the device so once the file is placed on the server for you and available to the rule it can be pushed to the devices. I am opening several cases with SOTI on this every week so I think they're motivated to fix it in the future.

I can't recommend Zebra OTA at this time. Too much complexity and manual interaction required compared to the automation that can be achieved with File Sync rules targeting filtered Virtual Groups.

Hello,

I copy the file to one of the devices and create then a filesync rule with "uplod to the server" this works on SOTI 24.xxx.

Sincerely

Thanks for the suggestion, we have already opened a ticket and will wait for the file to be uploaded.

But will check this out as well, though they need to up the file size limit to 3GB.

Thanks

Andy
