Unresponsive Version Dropdown in Generate SOTI XSight Agent Wizard

Summary

The SOTI XSight Agent version dropdown is unresponsive when the user tries to select an agent version. This prevents the user from publishing the agent to SOTI Mobicontrol.

Issue Description

When attempting to generate the SOTI XSight agent through the Generate XSight Agent wizard, selecting the Agent Version dropdown does not do anything.

 

 

 

Environment

This issue can occur in any version of SOTI XSight, whether on Cloud or on-premises.

Symptoms

When navigating to the Generate SOTI XSight Agent menu, the Version dropdown remains unresponsive, displaying only the message "Select a Version." As a result, publishing the SOTI XSight agent to SOTI MobiControl is not possible.

Cause

The root cause is synchronization issues between SOTI XSight and MobiControl, often due to incorrect credentials for the XSight Service user account.

Issue Resolution

To resolve this issue:

1. Select the SOTI XSight logo to open the main menu.

2. Select Sync MobiControl Info.

3. Select SYNC.

4. Wait a few seconds then navigate to the Generate XSight Agent section on the SOTI XSight main menu.

5. Select the Version dropdown. The available agent versions will display.

If the issue persists after performing the above steps, verify the credentials of the SOTI XSight service user account by navigating to the MobiControl Integration tab in the SOTI XSight settings:
