File Sync Rule Server Actions Deprecation

As of MobiControl 2024.0.0, which is planned to be released in fall 2023, File Sync rules will no longer support server action scripts.

Who is impacted?

• Customers that are using server action scripts under File Sync rules in all MobiControl versions prior to 2024.0.0 will be impacted by this change upon upgrading to MobiControl 2024.0.0 or higher.

What is the corrective action?

Server action scripts available under file sync rules are typically used to perform timely maintenance on a server such as deleting unwanted files. To avoid any disruptions, we suggest that before upgrading to MobiControl 2024.0.0, customers have a process in place to accommodate for the actions which were earlier executed by the server action scripts within the file sync rules.
