Google Translate Is it possible to set both an Enterprise Application and a Managed Google Play Application in the Application Catalog Rule? However, the setup is now successful, the Enterprise Application does not arrive on the tablet.
Is there a script similar to 'setradioenable wifi 0' for enabling/disabling Ethernet port on the device? Or reconnecting the Ethernet connection, like the WiFi script 'wifireconnect'?
Hi All, I am having an issue uploading a package that has been created by myself with a version string "0.72". When uploaded I get the following error: A Package named 'XXX_XXX_XXX_XXX' with internal version '11.0' already exists for the specified platform 'AndroidPlus'. Rebuild the Package using Package Studio and upload again. Rebuilding the package with the same version string "0.72" and uploading again will show the error: A Package named 'XXX_XXX_XXX_XXX' with internal version '12.0' already exists for the specified platform 'AndroidPlus'. Rebuild the Package using Package Studio and upload again. Has anyone else come across this before? Will this need to be raised to support? James
We have Samsung (S6 and S8) and they are all in Kiosk mode. The Users must not be allowed to access the internet except to use Google Maps. If you allow the standard Google Maps app on the lockdown screen they can use it fine but they can break out to the internet via website links in the map location despite disallowing this in Application Run Control. An example I will use is YouTube. So you allow Google Maps (App) on the lockscreen, user searches for something like 'Costa', a list of Costa sites come up with a link to their website. They click the website link which gives them an address bar to free type whatever they please, In this case YouTube. YouTube is Blacklisted in Application Run Control. I have found a way around this by adding the following to the lockdown screen Surf://www.google.co.uk/maps and then in Soti Apps > Surf Settings I have whitelisted maps.google.co.ukweb. This works perfectly to find locations and directions and does not allow the user to access anything on the internet apart from Google Maps. However they can not use the navigate button which would give them walking directions for example. It says Access Restricted then brings them back to Google Maps. So close to a solution - maybe I just need to whitelist something else as well?
I haven't found any information if you can change the locale from within Soti or by sending a script. setlocale en_CA won't work so that's probably only a Android + thing.
I am looking for strategies that others are using with MobiControl for handling the installation of firmware and patches from Zebra (TC77 running Oreo and AE). How do other handle it when you could have multiple patches that need to be installed on shared devices (in a certain order at times). I am managing 6000 devices at 300+ locations in an environment where local management does does not keep an active management of devices, thus a device could be offline for several days or more. Thoughts?
Is there a way to abort a File Sync Rule in the "Before File Synchronization" script? I have a very large file that must be sent to the device. Once it is processed, I would like to delete it. I would like to down a smaller file that I could check for before the file sync and if the file exists DON'T DOWNLOAD the large file. Thoughts.
We use CT50 & CT60 and we want to push our microsoft email exchange configurations to these devices. But when i tried to add the confugurations to an Android plus profile and install the profile, i saw the device logs show "feature not supported (EXCHANGE)". In SOTI help doc it shows Active sync is not supported on Honeywell devices. So what is the alternate method we have to send email configurations to our Honeywell Android devices ? Please advise Our aim is that when the user open an email client from the device, it should ask only his user name and password and then his emails messages should be downloaded to the device from the mail server.
I use Samsung tablets with a Kiosk mode from Soti. There are some apps in this Kiosk mode. One of these Apps has a few URLs that must be accessible. There are also some fullscreen websites with Soti Surf in the Kiosk mode. If you now click on an URL from an App you will be notified that this URL is not allowed. This is a report from Soti Surf. Can I set somewhere that this URL can be visited without having to put these websites in Kiosk mode or is that not possible?
Can any one know that SSL offloading at firewall is supported by Soti MDM ???
Hi all, I am testing SOTI Mobicontrol 14.3 and testing enrolment of AE smartphones. When testing LG smartphones (K4/K8/K9), the smartphones are encrypted, factory reset or straight out of the box, they are failing to enrol with the following SOTI Agent message; "Enrollment Failed. This device is not SafetyNet compliant. Please contact your system administrator." I know I can simply tick the box to still enrol the devices but that would defeat the point of the SafetyNet feature. Has anyone else hit this yet? I will check this with SOTI later today. John.
When downloading the latest Android OEM agent you get version 13.6.0 Build 1664 (tried downloading a Zebra and Elo OEM agent). But the latest release notes are for 13.6.0 Build 1476. Are there any release notes for 13.6.0 Build 1664?

Hi, We have the following problem: we have 700+ devices (M3 SM10 LTE) and some time ago we upgraded Soti Mobicontrol server from (I don't remember what version) to 14.1. Most of our devices had agent version 13.3.1. After server upgrade we are unable to upgrade agent version because is incompatible with server version. Devices with 13.3.1 don't download new packages from the server because of this and this is very important to us. These downloads must work. We manually installed on few devices the newer agent version (13.5.0 and 13.5.1) and devices downloads packages like it should. The big question is: how can we make the upgrade automatically ? Because to install this manually on each, is a pain in the *** ... Thank you in advance! Andrei
Hello, new mobicontrol install and I'm working out the best way to enroll out of the box devices (android enterprise honeywell CT60). If I manually setup with afw#mobicontrol I get the minimal set of installed applications as mentioned in links below. However it looks like the manufacturer camera app "snapdragon camera" (org.codeaurora.snapcam) is removed completely rather than just hidden (can't see it in device details application list) so cannot use the enable system app script for that bundle. If I use the Stage Programmer app to setup a QR code and scan that with an OOTB device, it enrolls and provisions, however it does not seem to hide/remove any default apps. So, I'm left wondering the best way to proceed. I like the simplicity of the Stage app, and would like to keep the OEM camera app, however there are other default core apps I would like to hide - is there a script to hide apps, or can application run control hide apps or does it just prevent launch? Mobicontrol device details indicates both devices are "work managed devices" with same agent versions but with a different outcome re. default core apps visibility/install status. Is this a bug/version issue or caused by the way I've set things up?
