Hi all... I can get mobicontrol stage to download my agent to the mc55 windows mobile/ce device but it cannot connect to the ds. Seems to install fine. Connects once because I can see in the webconsole. I've determined that it isn't downloading the mcsetup.ini file that goes along with the agent file. I did notice that the mcsetup.ini file has the [MCCAs] CA1=308202D43082023..... Any ideas here? Is this a limitation for these older sha-1 scanners?
Hi. zebra mc55x windows Ce device. On device, the MobiControl Profile shows install failed for package(s). How can I reset them or otherwise allow another attempt at installing them?
Is there a better way to manage folders and files other than the File Manager interface? As it stands now, you have to manually (re)create folders one-by-one as well as uploading files one-by-one. Maybe a better way such as ftp ??... Any thoughts or ideas or options here?
when choosing device id... What does it really mean when set to Server Generated? Who's server...my deployment server? is it incremental ? Can anyone elaborate with an example or two? Thanks.
When we restart our Devices they connect to our apn flawlessly, but arent opening a data channel. The button "connect" in the soti agent triggers an event where a data stream to our apn is opened. The 3G/HSDPA-Icon is doing a little "connect" animation, thats how i know. As a workaround i created a profile with Out-Of-Contact policy to force the agent to connect to the ds via "connect -f" but this is unfortunately not triggering the same connect event as via the button in the agent, so the data channel to the apn / provider isnt opened. Has anyone of you experienced the same issue in the weh world or maybe has a script that does exactly what the button press "connect" in the agent does? Agent is 14.43 and Device is a CN51
In the Windows Classic Kiosk you have the option to disable the kiosk mode. Where is the option to reenable it again? For my understanding its kind off senseless to disable kioskmode while the profile with the payload "kiosk" is still showing as installed. Current solution for us is to disable kiosk when needed and then you need to reinstall the whole kiosk-profile whilst the terminal is restarting 2 times. Any Ideas / Solution?
How do I prevent the installation of a cab file (bundled from package studio) from prompting the user to choose where to install the application to? It gives the user 3 choices to install to \Device, \Cache Disk and \Application. I would like to have it always install to \Application. How would I accomplish this? We are using motorola Model MC67NA windowsCE/mobile 6.5) mc55x mobile devices tia.
We just received some (motorola Model MC67NA windowsCE/mobile 6.5) mc55x mobile devices from zebra. They also use Soti. The agent installs fine after uninstalling their agent through Remove Programs and deleting leftover files in the \Application folder. The issue is that my agent cannot connect to our deploy server. I can open the Soti MobiControl | Menu | Configuration | Servers | Select server | Test ...says cannot send data to server. I don't have a screenshot yet. My assumption is that another companies agent is interfering..??... I do have other scanners that the agent works fine with. Any ideas? Thoughts?
I'm having trouble enrolling device into Windows Modern via bulk certificate enrollment. I have successfully created my client and root certificates and applied them to the Windows provisioning package with Windows Configuration Designer. From here I was able to successfully join a freshly imaged device to the Windows Modern environment. The issue I'm facing is enrolling a device that I already have enrolled in Windows Classic. When I install the provisioning package the device is created in my target folder for Windows Modern displaying as Offline and the original Windows Classic device remains and stays online as if nothing changed. So now I have 2 of the same devices showing, where I would think the Windows Modern Provisioning would overwrite the Windows Classic and retain the same device name.
Hello, how can I send to CE6 device regset command wit multistring value please? I have to replace static DNS Entry wit new IPs. I've tried regset [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\SDCCF10G1\Parms\TcpIp\DNS "MULTI_SZ"=hex(7):31,00,30,00,2e,00,31,00,33,00,34,00,2e,00,30,00,2e,00,31,00,7b,00,\ 00,00,31,00,30,00,2e,00,31,00,33,00,34,00,2e,00,30,00,2e,00,31,00,33,00,00,\ 00,00,00 or regset HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\SDCCF10G1\Parms\TcpIp\DNS MULTI_SZ:"11.11.11.11 11.11.11.12" but the syntax is obviously wrong and I am not going any further. Many Tanks! Best regards Michal
Hello, I have a problem with Symbol WT41N0. (Windows Mobile/CE) Device is enrolled in SOTI Mobicontrol 14.4.3.1153. After cold restart with 1, 9 and power button device loose time settings and reset them to 2012. In this case there is no connection to soti server. Connection can be done if we set time to corect date and year. How we can avoid this? We have set up remote time synchronization thru SOTI agent from SOTI Server/ Time server but result was the same. How we can save correct time after restart to be sure that device can connect to SOTI server? Best: Milen
Hello, i would like to run command prompt with special arguments cause i need the user to run a batch-file. Direct linking the batch file in the kiosk just offers the user to save or start the batch, but i want it to execute directly. Packaging the batch as executable isnt working either. In the Help Section there is info on giving parameter to an executable: So my resolution was to run batch via this linked in the lockdown: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\cmd.exe,/c "c:\batch.bat" But it just opens command prompt. Does anyone has a bit of experience with the windows lockdown?
Hello, I see a strange behavior on a SkorpioX4 with WEV7.0. I have a profile which copies a couple of files to the device and initiates a lockdown for a application I copy with the profile. On windows CE everything works as expected. On WEC the lockdown starts immediately but the files are not copied to the device (installation pending) and the device freezes. If I split the profile into one copying the files to the device and one making the lockdown it works if I enable the second profile later manually. So it looks like a timing issue here. I was wondering if a filter for the lockdown profile might help but I cannot find the syntax for the filter installed applications. I tried "\myfolder\myapp.exe" (were my app is located) but it seems that this does not work - the profile is not installed on the device. Any ideas ? Thanks Christian
i'm a newbie in soti, how do i find what profile is assigned to a device group? when i move a device from one group to another the device goes into lock down once it checks in in the 2nd group...
When applying a catalog rule to deploy a Modern Enterprise Application, there is a checkbox to "Provision the application for all users of a device". I cannot get this to install the app for Any users. The log and Application tab of the device show the app as "Provisioned", but it is not installed. If this box is left unchecked, it seems to install to the user who is logged in on the computer. MobiControl Version 14.4.3.1153
