Hi! we are going to deplo a antivirus apk through policies --> Applicattion method and we want to know how can you control on how many and which devices has it been installed correctly. The devices are enrolled in AE mode and are samsung devices. Is there a way to get this information? We are using 15.5.1 Mobicontrol instance.
Hello, Since on devices enrolled as Android Enterprise, it has hardware encryption information and a value next to it. What does that value mean and what level of encryption does the device have?
We have a number of devices that are running with the lockdown kiosk enabled but we need to be able to use Teamviewer QS for troubleshooting/configuration of the 1 specific APK that is used on the devices. Teamviewer QS works like it should when the kiosk is disabled but as soon as we re-enable kiosk mode the Teamviewer remote session only displays a black screen. What do I need to configure/set up to allow for a teamviwer QS session to be run properly with kiosk mode enabled?
Hello, I'm facing an issue trying to automate edge and other browser (cannot use SOTI surf for this sadly..) cache cleaning. i have seen a tons of post regarding cache cleaning but mostly using wipeapplication. Something that we cannot use at all. Too much troubles caused by the total wipe. Is there anyway to have a script ? Seen DDMOD@SOTI saying that it was on the roadmap Any news or any other ideas. Is there a possibility to display a device name or IMEI in the console alert message? (Name would be better) I tried %devicename% and %imei% which are working well in scripting but not here. I saw somewhere here that not all macros are supported here but maybe there's another way? Or is there somekind of logging where i can see those messages and from which device they came from?
Hello, Is it possible to generate a cloud alert (or something similar) to a specific email adress, when a device logs: Warning - Inaccurate device date-time detected (Time reported: 6/13/2022 6:36:19 AM) Just like in this topic (https://discussions.soti.net/discussions/how-to-make-zebra-tc26-device-sync-time-regularly), we are experiencing problems with Zebra TC26 devices running on Android 10 and 11. Their date-time settings are being switched from automatic to manual and then slowly running out of sync with the actual date and time, without any real apparent reason. We are discussing the issue with Zebra, it seems hardware or firmware related. In the meantime, an alert to our own support team would greatly help us deal with these issues proactively, instead of having to wait for the end user to complain to us about it. I can't seem to find any setting under Device Events that relates to a device log. We are running MobiControl version 15.5.0.1021, Android Enterprise (device owner) MobiControl agent version 15.1.4.1058 is installed on the devices. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.
Hi, At least a couple of our users are experiencing a sudden increase in battery drain om their Android phones (Samsung A5's). The battery drain appears to be due to MobiControl and potentially linked to it accessing location too readily. The only reason for assuming location is that the location icon is now constantly appearing at the top of their screens and when you look at what is using location mobicontol appears as using it "just now". I've observed mobicontrol being the highest contributor to battery usage at 28% (towards the end of a working day) but the same user stated it was at 90% the day before.We've recently upgraded our environment so I wonder if that's related.Users have rebooted their phones but other than checking everything looked normal on the phone we haven't done any other debugging.Any thoughts?

Hello, I have some Samsung tablets in Kiosk mode that I deploy Microsoft Word and Excel via the Managed Google Play Store.When trying to open a document that lives on the tablet (/sdcard/Documents/) for the first time, Word or Excel shows a prompt "To browse Office files, photos, and media, you'll need to allow access to all files in Settings" Not Now | Go to Settings When I press Go to Settings from within a Kiosk screen, Kiosk blocks the settings page to enable Access to all files for Word / Excel. Exiting Kiosk does allow me to enable the permissions, however a user would not be able to grant those permissions from Kiosk mode if Kiosk is blocking the prompt. I did a bit of research for granting the permissions using a Legacy script, but have not been successful. Hi, we want to create an automatism, who switch the adminmode from on to off. Like: _adminmode on / _adminmode off We want to send an intent to the mobicontrol app, with data contains the commands. My idea is like: intent:#Intent;action=net.soti.mobicontrol.xxxxx extraKeyValuePair="commandtoexecute" Or in this case, is there a way to switch the adminmode from an other app on the device? Hi all, We've created a profile that contains an XML file being pushed to the device, but for the configuration to apply the devices needs a reboot. Ideally we would want the device to reboot itself when the profile is installed. I've tried a post-install script in the package as ''reset /S'' but this doesn't work. Is there a way to make a unit reboot automatically when a profile is installed ? Thanks,
Hi all, We've purchased a fleet of CT40 (model L1N-1NC11BF) last year but we've been struggling with application refresh since then. Those devices are enrolled as AE Work Managed from the initial steps, running on android 9. By application refresh, I mean the user is working on our app then it just closes suddenly (no error message). I made some tests where I have multiple apps open, then switch between them and when coming back to our app it logs you out and brings you to the main screen (like a refresh). That ''kickout'' is happening on a random basis. We've applied a system configuration on the XML file so the DOZEMode is disabled, the Provisioning mode is always ON, the ''retain app login state'' is also enabled. This only diminished the kickout. We don't know where to aim now as we've explored so many hypothesis (from Firewall-webserver communication to app optimization by the vendor) I'm looking for feedback from people who are using the Honeywell CT40 to see what is their overall experience and compare Thanks,
Hi, We have a customer who will be running Remote Desktop in Kiosk mode to a machine and a workspace. Our intention is to add kiosk menu items that launch said PC and Workspace directly rather than presenting the Remote Desktop app itself. Normally, without Kiosk, the user would 'pin' the remote desktop widget to the Android home screen and launch from there, but I believe the kiosk screen doesn't support widgets. how would I go about creating this solution? Has anyone done this before? I've seen mention of an rdp file type with intent on another discussion but I have no experience in this so cannot look to implement. Thanks
