Edge / Browsers cache clearing by script or lockdown

Hello,

I'm facing an issue trying to automate edge and other browser (cannot use SOTI surf for this sadly..) cache cleaning.

i have seen a tons of post regarding cache cleaning but mostly using wipeapplication. Something that we cannot use at all. Too much troubles caused by the total wipe.

Is there anyway to have a script ?

Seen DDMOD@SOTI saying that it was on the roadmap

Any news or any other ideas. Automatic script/Button on the lockdown all accepted at this point..

Thanks in advance,

Hello,

Thanks for your post!
What kind of devices you are using?

What mobicontrol version and agent you are using?

If this resolves your query, please mark this post as the solution. Also, feel free to reach out if you need clarification or have any questions.

Hello,

Thanks for the response!

Please take a look at the article below and use the script accordingly:

SOTI Discussion Forum

To wipe an application's User data, send the following script:

wipeapplication <packageID>

Hello,

If i understand well the meaning of wipeapplication as discussed in other threads it wipe all data for an application. So for Edge, it removes the associated account, the saved password and so on. I cannot use it that way as our end user have saved password that they should not know for example.

What i am looking for in that case is to erase the browser cache remotely not the com.pkg associated datas.

Thanks in advance for your help;

If your device is enrolled as Android-Enterprise Managed device or iOS/iPAD supervised device, you can look for  browser with your required CLEAR action/parameter-option configurable if it supports managed configuration (AppConfig).

Hello,

Thanks for the tips, i've looked with all, the closer to was i needed was SOTI surf but sadly there's no password saving inside..

So for now i'm sadly limited to Edge which does not support it..
