Hello everybody, I wanted to make the following query about the Android update system through SOTI. We are implementing a system, in which, during several days of the week, the update file would be copied to the various terminals, and on a different day the update would be installed. The problem is, that during the tests we had a mishap, according to the logs of the SOTI rule that is responsible for copying the files to the terminals, this file had been copied correctly in all the terminals, but on the day of execution, We checked that only a certain number of them had been updated, we checked the terminals and to our surprise, they did not have the update file copied but in the rule logs it appeared the opposite. At this point, I thought about using an .xml file to create a custom data, so that it would be downloaded together with the update file, but when redirecting the custom data to the xml information, it did not detect it and in SOTI The field does not appear, the name of the custom data does appear but without information. Has something similar happened to someone else? What update systems do you have implemented for android terminals? Do you have any ideas or suggestions about how I could solve the custom data problem, or any improvement for the update system? My SOTI version is: 14.1.5.1284 and the terminals are mostly TC52 and WT6000. Thank you very much to all.

Hi, We have a problem after Android update to version 11. We are using Samsung T-505 with the latest mobi agent. We don't see notification bar - when I set admin mode and restart a device, notification bar is visible. After next reset with user mode, notification bar is hidden (empty bar). After set admin mode, we can open notification bar (swipe down) only in home page, other page don't have this option. I don't know how I can repair this. Do you have any ideas?
Samsung w/Android 10 Settings App Notifications Phone - Everything is "greyed out" except App icon badges. No assigned profiles, or packages, why can't I change this setting and how/where do I get control of this setting and other setting like it?
I am planning to update a group of Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ phones from Android version 9 to the latest release of Android 11. As part of this I tried performing the update on a test phone. Currently a restriction is configured in SOTI to stop Android updates, so I created a test group for the phone and removed the management profiles. After the profiles were removed the OS update proceeded and all that went fine, however, a message started appearing on the screen saying: "Connection to server failed; SSL handshake failed" which I assumed was coming from the MobiControl app trying to reach the SOTI cloud server. This seems akin to the following discussion: SSL handshake failed but there does not seem to be a clear resolution to this issue. Checking the applications list it seemed I had two versions of MobiControl - the current one and a previous version, likely the one that existed from when the phone was running Android 9. I deleted the older version; however, the newer version could not talk to the server with the Agent Status, within MobiControl, showing "Disconnected." I deleted this version of the app and tried downloading the version from the Play Store but, after entering the Enrollment ID and trying to enrol, the process eventually timed out saying: "Enrollment failed. Please retry or contact your system administrator." I tried using the OEM download from the soti.net/oem page and choosing Samsung ELM, however, once installed I had the same result. I really don't know how to fix this issue as I am new to SOTI and the existing configuration was already in place before I started. Any guidance on how to resolve or troubleshoot this problem would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your help.
Already on the third smartphone, the application does not start Mobi Control. After installation, it loads endlessly, and then we close. How to fix it?
Hello all, I got an interesting question from one of my customers. He has Android devices enrolled in MobiControl with Androd Enterprise as Work Managed Devices. He wants to change the host file on the device. The location is /system/etc and the file is named hosts. You are able to get this file with the following adb command: adb pull /system/etc/hosts destination-path. If I want to push the edited file back via adb, you need root on the device. If I want to push the edited file via SOTI Package, it seems that the file never get copied to the device but the profile and package is shown installed in the MobiControl console. Does anyone have experience in this topic? Am I able to push a file via SOTI Package to the system folder? Do I need root rights? Is it possible to get root for SOTI? Would you recommend it? Agent 14.4.3 Build 1074Mobicontrol: 15.2.1.1094Device: TC700HSince the last update of the agent we are running in a few issues- random device reboots- randomly disconnecting the agent and reconnecting what forces apps to close.This behaviour causes delays in picking because of the reboots. Is this already reported/is there a fix available
Hi All, I am currently trying to configure a Spectralink Versity 9540 with an app which pushes notifications from a nursecall system to the phone. Currently the app is functioning correctly outside of lockdown mode, but when we put the phone into lockdown mode all sounds from the app are silent. As this is a critical system that is meant to notify users this is not ideal. We have tried both Native lockdown and Activity suppression, and neither will allow notification sounds to come through. The App is an .apk package we have uploaded to the phone, which could be part of the problem. It is not available on the google play store. Any help or advice would be appreciated, thank you.
Hello everybody, does anyone have experience with Android Enterprise in China? A customer of mine wants to use his SOTI MobiControl Cloud instance in China. He is using Zebra devices world wide (Andoird 8 or higher). The problem will be the Android Enterprise Enrollment. Usually we enroll devices with the token afw#mobicontrol as Google address but that wont work in china. I have some ideas but no experiance with China. 1. Use a VPN Network with GMS access for the device Enrollment in China 2. Only ship enrolled devices to China (would not be perfect because if we have to re-enroll devices for any reason) 3. Maybe other Enrollment methos except the token will work without GMS? I am happy for every idea you have, thank you in advance!

Hello I am in Version: 15.3.0.6711 and I am trying to create a profile with lockdown The only application that I need is a browser for a SAP connection, we are using ITS mobile and I have my URL But I cannot use any of the selectable ITEMS that are in the list, when I paste my URL an error message appear "This field is required" Any ideas how can I add a chrome or a browser with a specific URL? Hello All, i run in trouble to start the installation of security patches from Zebra. I transfer the file (via filetransfer ;in this case ATLAS_DELTA_UPDATE_02-32-04.00-OG-U10-STD.zip). The file is stored in %SDCARD%. I crate a package with script. But i was not able to run the file via script. Can you help me with the right script / procedure? Thank you
I'm trying to set the device-name in Android itself with some sort of a script we can send. I thought using the name format in Rules would also change the devicename in Android but this doesn't seem to be the case on TC26 with Android 10.It only changes the name that shows in Soti Mobicontrol portal itself. See image (sorry in Dutch) but it says "Device name":
