I know that Android does not use RDP files but is there a way to add a lockscreen item to android that mimics the effect of a adding an .rdp file to a windows mobile lock screen. ie we want to open the Microsoft Remote Desktop app and have it open to a specific remote server. Is that a possibility via an Intent or other method?
The solution I manage runs in 2 server in MC14.4. One of them is just a DS and the other is DS+MS+DataBase+Elastic Search. The server running MS+Elastic Search + Database is a windows 2012R2. Recently the upgrades from windows, that keep enlarging its cache patches, reach the system drive (C:) to critical space. The initial MC installation has been followed the default installation, placing all bin files and elastic search in system drive (C). I would like to move the elastic search data/nodes to other driver that has plenty of space available. The recommendation I got from Soti is to use the setup file tool to install again only MS, because MS runs at the same drive as Elastic Search. Along the installation I would have to change the path to it. The issue is it does not allow to change the path, because other MC components are already installed in system drive, as DS and even the current MS. I believe I could uninstall everything but the database and install again to a different drive, having a risk to domains and certificate failures. So, is there any parameter that we may set to Elastic Search create its data/nodes in a different path then the default? Maybe a environment variable or something in windows registry ? In positive way I could recreate the elastic search database in a different disk, releasing space to its normal growth.
Hello, We run SOTI 15.1.1.1184, using Zebra TC70x devices which have the 14.4.1.1064 agent installed. We receive this message frequently on our server. We have no active forms of encryption enabled on the device, other than the default disk encryption which Android performs automatically. This is not a new issue and has persisted through multiple agent updates, so I don't suspect the agent. What am I doing wrong, is there a setting I missed? Thank youZach

Hello, We are having trouble activating voice input on the Samsung keyboard (as well as Google keyboard) for Samsung Galaxy Tab Active2 devices on Android 9. We tried putting the device into a device group with no restrictions without any luck. We tried explicitly whitelisting the following in Application Run Control as well as adding them to the Lockdown menu items without any luck: com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox/.VoiceSearchActivity com.google.android.inputmethod.latin android.speech com.google.android.voicesearch com.google.android.tts We also run this script on one of the devices but it did not help: manualblacklist reset manualblacklist add com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox manualblacklist on restartagent The only thing that works is going into Admin mode on the agent. That suddenly shows the microphone icon on the keyboard, but never in User mode. Our MobiControl server is on version 14.2.0.2894 and the current agent version is 14.4.3.1074. Many thanks, Tim

Is there a way to realize a file sync rule that sync onetime for each target device? If a target device is online the file sync should triggers once. If a target device is offline the file sync should triggers once when the device gets online. --> Like the behaviour of a profile with a package where it gets installed exactly once. We tried the schedule functions but it seems that they aren't reliable when defining a "once schedule".
The problem is that when trying to open a url it redirects us directly to a default soti browser. I understand that the following function can be applied "file: // url browser path" But it's not working.

Dear SOTI,Currently we are experiencing issues whenever we try to register a mobile phone in our own SOTI Server, during the registration procedurement, the certificate of the machine we would like to connect to is shown as invalid ( "Enrollment Failed, Please retry or contact your system administrator."). What is interesting is that we can register successfully any phone running any version of Android in ELM and/or AFW Mode, except those running Android 10 in AFW Mode.We would like to point out that our own self host Server has already a SHA256 certificate and Mobicontrol version: 15.3.0.6711.As you could see in the pictures link below, it seems that the issue is related with the SOTI certificate SHA1.Would you please help us with some advice regarding the issue?Thank you very much indeed in advance. Using the API, I'm trying to get a list of devices using the UPN, but I can't seem to figure out the filter syntax. Can anyone tell me how to set the filter syntax for the \devices or \devices\search API calls?

In the fly out menu there is Execute Action - Remote Ring but it doesn't do anything. Soti is very new to me, I used to use smart systems and there was an option to send a loud beep code. That option was very useful when a person could remember where they set their device down. Just wondering if there is an option similar or something that can work. I tried to attach a picture but says discussions.soti.net says "Sorry an error occured" - (yes that is how it is spelled in the error box). Any help is appreciated.
Hi SOTI, One of our devices keep getting the following error message. Error sending message (Error sending message (typ=30), General communication error) Error sending message (Error sending message (typ=31), General communication error) Could you please help us to fix this problem since our representative his device doesn't sync our latest data. We have tried the following. Set the rule network Restrictions on Wi-Fi only Set the rule network Restrictions on Cellular only Set the rule network Restrictions on LAN / Wi-Fi and Cellular We gave the representative a brand new Samsung Galaxy tablet All this above didn't help, we keep getting the type=30 and type=31 error message. All other rules that this device has running does sync well without any problems, we even removed all rules and only kept this one to double check and still same error message. We have over 60 devices in Europe that use multiple rules and it works perfectly, but not with this user / devices. Hope you SOTI can help us out, because that would be great!
