How many Android Managed-Enterprises (or Managed Google Play Accounts) and iOS VPP tokens can a MobiControl server instance support?

Some other EMM vendors claimed support for a maximum of 256 in their products.  What are the limits for MobiControl v13.x and v14.x?

Trouble with Android Enterprise - Google Account Enrollment with a Binded Domain without LDAP.

Hi, My Setup is MobiControlCloud 1.4.1.5.1284,  SOTI upgraded it today. Tablet is a Samsung Tab A 10.1 with a pen (2016) model # SM-P580 Running Android v7.0 Google Domain is Binded to MobiControlCloud and I see it in both sides as being connected. Setup COBO (Company Owned, Business Only) I would like to enroll Company owned Tablet Android Enterprise with afw#mobicontrol and Device Reset, to push to the tablet a single user Manage Google Account that is binded to the the company's domain, and the user cannot add another personal account. I used both device enrollments rules setups. I can use a Manage Google Play Account that only pushes the apps, and if I disable the Google Account Creation from feature control then the user can't add any account to it, and if I enable it then I can add anything. The Manage Google Account with the binded domain can add anything to it as well within the tablet like above but without apps being pushed.  Also, with a loophole that I found by backing out the sign-in screen I can add any Google Account. I would like to restrict it in a way that I can only push the user's Managed Google Account to a specific tablet. Basically I want to push the accounts so they may use the Google Apps like Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides. The problem is I don't have a local LDAP server that is broadcasting the AD to the internet, and I was wondering if there any other way to manage this via Azure AD or idp from Google SAML app, or anything? I'm missing that feature because of LDAP so I don't find a way to assign the Google Accounts to a tablet in MobiControlCloud Security. Any help is much appreciated.  Thanks. -Kenneth

External Storage Encryption Policy Android enterprise

For Android plus devices there is a file encryption policy you can setup to force the user to encrypt an SD card on their phone. I want to be able to do this in Android enterprise as well but don't see this option available. Is it not possible to do with enterprise?

Force Android Enterprise Catalog Rule Reinstall

Hi, In a use case we have a catalog rule for Android Enterprise with some 10 apps as mandatory. When the rule is applied, some apps get installed but some don't. So user has to exit kiosk mode and install them manually. This obviously is not good. How could we force those apps to install ? With profiles, we can force profile reinstallation, but with catalog rules? Thank you. Mobicontrol version: 14.1.5.1284 Devices: Moto G5S Android 7.1.1

Update of Android APK Package on AFW Phone fails with File IO Error

Do I have to uninstall my existing Android App, everything I want to deploy a package with an updated APK in MobiControl? Here's my workflow: 1. Factory Reset Nokia 8 Android 8.0.1 phone and set up with Android for Work (afw#mobicontrol) and enroll in MobiControl. 2. Build my Android APK, create a Package, and assign Package to Phone 3. Confirm app is up and running 4. Make a change to my Android APK, create new Package 5. Remove old package from Profile and add new Package 6. Save and Assign to phone 7. Install fails with File IO Error Current workaround: 1. Remove old app on phone by looking at Applications in MobiControl, finding the app and clicking remove 2. Redeploy new Package. The problem is that by uninstalling the existing app I am loosing a database that I need to maintain and this is alsoa long and painful process for 60+ phones. Am I missing something here? Thanks, Ciaran

Google Play Protect is suddenly stopping my app install

My situation is as follows: 1. Installed AFW on a Nokia 8 running Android 8.1.0 2. Enrolled in Mobicontrol 3. Created Package with my APK and assigned to Profile 4. Assigned Profile to Devices - Install Success 4. Made an update to my App and created new APK 5. Removed old Package from Profile 6. Create new Package with new APK and assigned to Profile 7. Assigned Profile to Devices - Install Failed with IO Error Upon inspection it seems like Google Play Protect is preventing the app install. The only workaround is to manually go into settings on each phone and disable Google Play Protect. Once I do this the install succeeds. Is anyone aware of this issue / solution?

No Status Bar on Enterprise Kiosk mode Solved

I've been used to working with Lockdown via Android+ and allowing users to see and interact with the status bar. Enabling Kiosk mode on Android Enterprise I have lost the status bar completely- a plain black bar.  I have created a separate profile with Feature Control added and the status bar is not disabled. We keep Lockdown (now Kiosk) profile separate to other security profile options so we can apply different lockdowns to different users but only have to manage one set of security rules. How do I get the status bar back and keep kiosk available.

How to block OS Upgrade - Android Enterprise

In the Android Plus Profile creation there exists an option in Feature Control to Block OS Upgrade. However, in the Android Enterprise Profile there is no such option in Feature Control.  I tried issuing an Android Plus profile along with the Android Enterprise ones, but it doesn't push down to AE activated devices at all. So, am I somehow missing this feature control option, or is it something in development to be added at a later date?

Android Enterprise - Screen Orientation Lock

Hi! We have started developing on the Android Enterprise platform instead of Android+ but one quite big problem is that we can't lock the screen orientation. In Android+ we used the writesecuresettings command for this but naturally this can't be used in AE. Since we don't want any manual steps in the staging process of quite a lot devices we would like to find a way to automatically apply a locked setting in portrait mode. Anyone have a solution for this or have the same problem?
