Hello At what time does nightly maintenance occur? I think it would be ideal that this processes do not overlap with DB backup schedule
Hi all, wondering if anyone has knowledge about where to find the network connection type (Wi-Fi, cellular, Ethernet, etc.) on the MobiControl database. NetworkConnectionType is listed within the Device Properties to be called through the API, and is also easily seen on the web-console under "Information" for each device. However, I could not find it as a field/column in eg. the main DevInfo table. I'm wondering if it may be extracted from the field DevInfo.DevStat. Objective: I was trying to create a customer report for support personnel that would return the present network connection type for each device. Device Properties in the API: Web-console > Device > Information:
I'm very new to SOTI, and I'm looking to produce some custom reports. I downloaded the i-net Clear Reports Designer that was linked to in SOTI's Reports tab, but I wasn't sure how to set SOTI as the data source within the Reports Designer. Which driver should I use, and how do I find the User, Password, Host, and Database? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Hi, We are planning to upgrade our MobiControl installation. We curently have the MobiControl databases on a standalone SQL server which has other production databases. Since the database user must be a SysAdmin or a DbCreator for the upgrade process to complete, we have concerns that the upgrade process might affect in some way the other databases or the SQL server itself (stop/start). If anybody already successfully went through such upgrade scenario, please share.
Hi, Is it possible to use Azure SQL service (https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/services/sql-database/) as database for MobiControl? If it works, will it also be supported by Soti Support? Thanks Leroy
Hi, I have enabled a Telecom Expense Management Rule and have a question around the data produced. I'm looking creating my own custom report for this and am querying the DB directly. When I look at the DeviceStatNetTraffic table, there are Upload and Download columns. Does anyone know what data storage type these numbers represent? I'm assuming it would be either bytes or kilobytes. For instance if I look at the query below, I have a piece of data for the Soti Surf app collected over an 8 hr period. If I assume that the values in the Upload and Download columns are kilobytes of data, I would have a total of 22.4MB of upload and 324.6MB of download for an 8 hr period for just Soti Surf. This seems high to me based on the websites that are allowed in our whitelist so I want to make sure I'm understanding this correctly.
