Hi, I found an issue with the location feature on a device. The ui hangs and in the browser javascript console I get the error you can see in the screenshot attached. I think it's a map library issue, maybe something which needs to be better implemented. I made tests with both chrome and firefox and I get the same result. thanks in advance Regards
I'm currently trying to open the remote control to a device from MobiControl 14 using the web based option, which uses SOTI Assist. When trying to open the connection, it returns the following error: Error: WebSocket closed without sending a close frame. Checking the logs, this is what it says: 2017-11-03 17:25:16,713 (null) 4 INFO NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM Soti.RemoteControl.Logging.Logger Info Permission URL: https://sbimdm02.incasgroup.local/MobiControl/DeviceManagement/ 2017-11-03 17:25:19,338 (null) 4 ERROR NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM Soti.RemoteControl.Logging.Logger Error failed to start host: WcfWebSocketChannelHost 2017-11-03 17:25:19,369 (null) 4 ERROR NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM Soti.RemoteControl.Logging.Logger Exception System.PlatformNotSupportedException: This platform does not support server side WebSockets. at System.ServiceModel.Channels.HttpChannelListener`1..ctor(HttpTransportBindingElement bindingElement, BindingContext context) at System.ServiceModel.Channels.HttpsChannelListener`1..ctor(HttpsTransportBindingElement httpsBindingElement, BindingContext context) at System.ServiceModel.Channels.HttpsTransportBindingElement.BuildChannelListener[TChannel](BindingContext context) at System.ServiceModel.Channels.Binding.BuildChannelListener[TChannel](Uri listenUriBaseAddress, String listenUriRelativeAddress, ListenUriMode listenUriMode, BindingParameterCollection parameters) at System.ServiceModel.Description.DispatcherBuilder.MaybeCreateListener(Boolean actuallyCreate, Type[] supportedChannels, Binding binding, BindingParameterCollection parameters, Uri listenUriBaseAddress, String listenUriRelativeAddress, ListenUriMode listenUriMode, ServiceThrottle throttle, IChannelListener& result, Boolean supportContextSession) at System.ServiceModel.Description.DispatcherBuilder.BuildChannelListener(StuffPerListenUriInfo stuff, ServiceHostBase serviceHost, Uri listenUri, ListenUriMode listenUriMode, Boolean supportContextSession, IChannelListener& result) at System.ServiceModel.Description.DispatcherBuilder.InitializeServiceHost(ServiceDescription description, ServiceHostBase serviceHost) at System.ServiceModel.ServiceHostBase.InitializeRuntime() at System.ServiceModel.ServiceHostBase.OnOpen(TimeSpan timeout) at System.ServiceModel.Channels.CommunicationObject.Open(TimeSpan timeout) at Soti.RemoteControl.Channel.WebSocket.Host.WcfWebSocketChannelHost.Start() at Soti.RemoteControl.Server.RemoteControlServer.Start(IReadOnlyList`1 hosts)
Is support for the HTML5 Remote Control deprecated in v14? I select Web-based at this prompt but it launches the desktop app instead: EDIT: I don't think my picture attached correctly.
Hi all, We are currently rolling out 18x Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 (running Android 7.0) to our drivers. The main purpose of these devices is to allow our drivers to use an app called PTV Navigator. This app has a bunch of additional content it uses such as maps, voice speakers and other assorted maps. I have been able to successfully push out all the necessary packages for the PTV Navigator to work EXCEPT all of the maps.In total, the maps files are around 5GB in size and is taking around 4-5 hours to push and install on the tablets via the MobiControl Cloud service. The map files are absolutely necessary for PTV Navigator to work, otherwise it defeats the purpose. My question is, what is the most efficient and quickest way to get these map files onto the device? Keeping in mind there will be map upgrades in the future that will also need to be pushed to the tablets. What I have tried: 1) Pushing the map files through MobiControl Cloud takes around 4-5 hours as previously stated. 2) Copy the map files from the SD card to internal storage using a script and then push out a profile with the same files. I would think MobiControl would automatically recongise the files are already on the tablet, so it would just mark the profile as "Installed". This is not the case as according to SOTI support, it does not have any hash or checksum on the files and only reads the last modified date. 3) Attempted to force PTV Navigator to read the map files from the SD card and then later on swap out the SD card with updated maps. PTV Navigator is refusing to read maps stored on SD card. 4) Use an app called AndSMB to copy the map files from a local NAS, but this was super slow as well! Please help with this enquiry. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks. B
If a device is not able to check-in agentlessly with MobiControl, it essentially means it cannot be managed. It would be nice to have a troubleshooting procedure for this kind of scenario.
The folder exists and we have write permission
is it possible to create a profile with black- and whitelists for devices with android + that you can activate to a specific time? Since we use MobiControl in schools it would be advantageous to activate those profiles for certain lessons. A function like that is already available for the application of rules but not for profiles
The communication which occurs in MobiControl including the HTTP communication which occurs at the time of a renewal of a pattern file of anti-virus. Can we specify the proxy server in the Mobicontrol server and agent settings?
We have instances of configuration files stored in the JSON format instead of XML format on the device. Can we parse that data into a "Custom Data" value associated with the device so that it can be a Filter Criteria attribute?
I have an environment that is completely locked down and any requests for public internet access are being denied? How can I improve the performance of MobiControl in a fully offline environment? I'm available to perform registration successfully offline, but access to other SOTI services like the Remote Control skins repo and the central CA are resulting in a relatively hindered experience. Can you sideload the skins into the environment, bypassing the service? Can you get around the certificate related issues during enrollments and check ins at the device level (Android). Another issue that I'm seeing is that the Enrollment rule creation fails to provide me with a local enrollment url. I would expect the enrollment ID to not be generated given it not having access to the central Enrollment service, but shouldn't a local enrollment url be generated?
I can't upgrade my Android devices after upgrading MobiControl Server to 13.3.0.3690. I see an error in device logs which says "Agent Upgrade blocked due to network mismatch.". Upon further investigation I found below error in the MCDeplSvr.log file. [INFO] AgentUpgrader::UpgradeDeviceAgentToServerVersion() UpgradeDeviceAgentToServerVersion: Agent for Device xxx is not allowed to upgrade due to network restriction Please help!

I'm curious to know what is the communication, data exchange happened between MS and DS on port 5495 in the segregated environment or even when both are in the same environment, what is the data exchange happened between them?
We would like to sync photos from all 500 Android mobile devices to the cloud, approximately 5MB of photos per device per month. Is there any storage space constraint?
