Is support for the HTML5 Remote Control deprecated in v14? I select Web-based at this prompt but it launches the desktop app instead:

"HTML5" remote control has been renamed to the "Web-based" remote control and it requires the installation of SOTI Assist. Information in this can be found in the MobiControl Release Notes.
it says you don't need an active license, so if I download the trial that should do it?
It looks like the "old" HTML5 remote control is now handled by SOTI Assist, though I can't get it to work right now, so I'm trying to update it to see if that solves my problem.
In any case, it says that even without a valid active license for SOTI Assist you will be able to use its Remote control feature, you just can't open new tickets or use the remote control directly from an existing ticket
