We have instances of configuration files stored in the JSON format instead of XML format on the device. Can we parse that data into a "Custom Data" value associated with the device so that it can be a Filter Criteria attribute?
At the moment it is not possible for the MobiControl agent to parse a JSON file or JSON feed. The agent currently only supports INI and XML file formats.
The idea of having the Android Agent parse JSON files and feeds is fascinating however. A feature request should be filed. Please contact the Support team at support@soti.net and have them file a feature request on your behalf.
Any one else who would like to see this feature be implemented in the future should contact the support team as well. The more interest a feature has the faster it may be added to the product.
