Hi, I already have a case for this(C00275940), but just wanted to check if anyone might have a suggestion. Issue: Devices of various (7.0+) Android builds, networks (4G, Wi-Fi) and OEMs cannot enroll (times our when trying to connect to server in MC agent) after a DNS update. Everything is marked green by admin util. and already enrolled devices connect just fine. If I manually enter the enrollment page in a browser, then it is properly displayed and accessible from all devices and networks (available from on internet). The weirdest is however, that when testing alongside support, THEY where able to enroll devices to the environment. None of us have been able to explain this behaviour yet. For now we have fetched ADB-logs which is then to be submitted to development. I however just have a feeling this has to do with the DS certificate. Even though this is mapped to the correct hostname and everything is marked green (And support was able to enroll their test device.). When we start the pairing, the BT PIN box is blocked by the lockdown. We have to put the lockdown off to pair the two products
Hi I want to copy, not install, an .apk-file with MCStudio. I've tried "Add Files" and "Add Android Apk". Both will try to install the .apk, not just copy it. I've also tried to copy it to something like %sdcard%\Download, but still the same result. Does MCStudio support copying .apk-files, like any other file, or is this something that has been overlooked? I could use a sync rule. But it's not the same as package deployment via profiles.
Dear Professionalists, There are 2 physical Servers and on each server, MobiControl(MS, DS, Mobi Search) and SQL Servers are installed. The SQL cluster Service is already built and running but for the SOTI Mobi Control, Is there any special configuration on MAU(MobiControl Administration Utility) or other for cluser service? We keep having issues whereby multiple users are being randomly unassigned from Samsung SM-T365 (Android) devices for no reason whatsoever. Whenever this happens their Exchange profile is removed and we see the below entry in the log file for the device: Device Configuration removed ([EAS Settings] Configuration is being uninstalled) We are then able to re-assign the user and the Exchange profile is automatically re-added, however this is getting quite annoying! We are currently running Soti MobiControl v13.2.0.3247 Has anyone else seen the same issue? Thanks, Stuart
All of a sudden it seems that one of my devices has disappeared from the device list, if I go to Profiles and then try to assign the profile to a device group I can see that the device is enrolled in the group I am selecting and that it is active and connected..... as shown below. However, when viewing the device group the device is not shown? Seems to be quite strange behaviour, this is also stopping me from remote controlling the device. Any ideas how to resolve other than removing the device group and starting again??

Hi, I'm currently investigating how I can automate as much of our tablet setup process as possible. One thing we do is reduce the camera resolution for saved images, so images that my company's field team upload to our systems, don't fill the servers with unnecessarily high quality images! I've looked at the following posts and attempted the watchsettings on function but I'm not seeing logs for the settings in the camera app on Android 7 (Samsung Galaxy Tab S2). https://discussions.soti.net/thread/what-is-the-script-command-to-pull-a-uri/ https://discussions.soti.net/thread/set-the-device-settings-using-a-script-or-configuration-file/ I understand there's more flexibility with Android Enterprise but Samsung isn't one of the certified manufacturers so we are having to stick with Android Plus. Is there another way I can find out what is being changed when the setting is modified in an attempt to script it? Thanks in advance!
Hello, We are testing some Android Oreo devices (Samsung J6) as Android+ and Android Enterprise and we have found that remote control does not show screen image. Buttons work (home, back, volume).Screen is shown as a white image and even if you clic in some area where it happens to be and icon, it opens the app. We tested Android+ agent version 13.5.1 Build 1044 (the latest) and Android Enterprise versión 13.5.1 Build 1234 (latest) with Mobicontrol servers version 13.3.0.3454, 14.1.6.1113 and 14.1.7.1101 I appreciate your comments and suggestions.
Hey Guys, Is there any chance to set up App-Permissions within SOTI on an Zebra TC20 Device? We build an App which sets Wallpaper, changes Notifications an stuff like that. We can execute all these settings remote with the sendintent command. Unfortunately the App needs the Storage Permission wihich is not allowed after installation. Can Soti, MCStudio, Script Command Set or anything else grant the permissions without User action? Thanks!
We are trying to get the our software package to down and install onto the D10 device. We keep getting in the mobi control a red icon with arrow saying Agent not compatable. On the device under profile within Soti we can see the software package but it keeps saying pending. it will not install for some reason. Also when we select the device in the mobi control, select the compliance and it says agent compatible is No.
It is possible to enable this VPN client or we can configure one of these clients that is compatible with SOTI MobiControl
We recently downgraded a number of Zebra WT6000s running N back to L and re-enrolled the devices back into the same MobiControl instance as part of that process. The devices were not deleted from the inventory during the process and seemed to, for the most part, reconnect to the MC server just fine. There are a portion of the devices however that are showing up in a Non-Compliant status which is now seemingly preventing them from receiving their full configuration. How can I clear out or get rid of this Non-Compliant status. The Help guide goes into some minor detail on what Non-Compliant could mean, but does not provide any help on what you can do to address this. Other details: - Zebra WT6000 - Android L, 5.1.1 (downgrade from N) - Android+, DA - Agent 13.5.0.1677 - MC 14.1.7 (now), upgraded from MC14.1.0 when we first saw the issue. Still persists after the upgrade
I've recently upgraded MobiControl to v14.1 and have also installed SOTI Assist so that I am able to remote control onto Android devices which are enrolled with MobiControl. When viewing the device details on MobiControl the remote control option is not shown at all. I've also contacted SOTI and was told to try sending the following script to the device: _resetfailedrcdetectionflag restartagent This did not resolve the issue, I am still not able to remote control any of the Android devices I have enrolled. I also have a range of HHT devices enrolled, I am able to use SOTI Assist Remote Control with these devices but not with Android tablets. What else do I need to do to be able to control the Android devices remotely?
