ORIGINAL QUESTION After the reboot the MobiControl starts. Then the MobiControl starts Enterprise Browser. The Product Registration loads up and then a error alert box appears that says "EnterpriseBrowser has stopped" with a Open app again button below the message. Is this a known issue concerning the application loading before a wireless connection can be completed within the scanner OS? UPDATED ON 10/12/2019 Ran the RXLogger app on the MC93, rebooted the scanner and the error occurred. The RX Logger caught the error and logged it. It showed a null object reference error. I got in touch with Zebra and we determined that the issue was in fact due to the MobiControl Lockdown configuration. Zebra suggested that I use EHS (Enterprise Home Screen) but that app is not straightforward at all. Does anyone have any knowledge of using the Lockdown configuration that auto starts Enterprise Browser?

I've try to reproduce this back door but actually not possible. Also if i black list google chrome and reboot the device ..the device doesn't reboot !!!!! My question is -> is it possible to make soti surf as a default browser FOR ALL LINKS ? the goal is -> if the security team arrived to find another way for by pass lock down with the new zebra keyboard installed. i want every time that is soti surf who opens for url thanks for your time
Hi, Is there any way to limit the visibility of an application rule base on a custom attribute? This seems to be the only rule that can't be filtered which is a bit of a shame. Or if anyone has a different way of making an application visible based on a custom attribute I would be interested to hear. Thanks
Hi all I see the following error when accessing the web console lately... mobile.abc.co.uk normally uses encryption to protect your information. When Google Chrome tried to connect to 350mobile.bvt.org.uk this time, the website sent back unusual and incorrect credentials. This may happen when an attacker is trying to pretend to be mobile.abc.org.uk, or a Wi-Fi sign-in screen has interrupted the connection. Your information is still secure because Google Chrome stopped the connection before any data was exchanged. You cannot visit mobile.abc.co.uk right now because the website uses HSTS. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later. We do have a wildcard certificate for our domain but I'm a little nervous about applying it and what impact that would have on our mobile devices. Is there a correct procedure for this?
We are exploring a way to gather app data from our devices on a scheduled basis and downloading them somehow from our MobicontrolCloud instance to one of our on prem servers. We can't enroll the server in Mobicontrol to use a file sync rule to download and would rather not explore SFTP unless we have to, do you know if there is a way to send files from a device to an S3 bucket of our choosing?
Hello, Our users are using a web app but every time their TC51 reconnect to the WIFI they return automatically to the lockdown screen (and they lose their current work...) We already disabled the "doze mode" as indicated in this thread: https://discussions.soti.net/thread/stop-returning-to-lockdown-on-reconnecting-to-server/ And we also unchecked the "Update when device connects" option as indicated in https://discussions.soti.net/thread/lockdown-closes-open-app-and-refreshes-lockdown-homescreen-when-network-connection-changes-android-8/ After some tests, we discovered that the lockdown screen appears every time there's a "Device (Agent) checked-in" and indeed there is a "Device (Agent) checked-in" triggered when a TC51 reconnects to the WIFI. As I understand, this is a security feature to force the device to return into "user mode". But in our case the device is already in "user mode"... Or maybe I misunderstood ? It seems that this problem started when we updated the MobiControl agent on our devices Zebra TC51. We need some assistance please. How can we avoid this return to the lockdown screen at every "Device (Agent) checked-in" ? We are currently using Server MobiControl 14.4.2.1307, Agent MobiControl 13.9.0.1046 and Zebra TC51 (Android 6.0.1) Thanks for your help. Frederic
Hi, how to change the Settings from Zebra Enterprise Keyboard via .xml or skript. The problem is, that this keyboard has a bug (didn't show the navigation tabs sometimes). I know that i have to change following Settings: Navigation Mode change from Tab to Keys Preferred Tab change from Alpha Numeric to Numeric I git it now -.- <wap-provisioningdoc> <characteristic type="EnterpriseKeyboard"> <parm name="NavigationMode" value="2"/> <parm name="SelectPreferTab" value="1"/> </characteristic></wap-provisioningdoc> For future and a tipp for others looking for those settings: Take a look at the device folder: /etc/mx/cspmgr/dsd/ and take a look for the setting you are looking for (ex. EnterpriseKeyboard). The names and values are listed here. and you have only to change the examples found here: https://techdocs.zebra.com/mx/uimgr/
Hello, how exactly would you realise somewhat of version control in android enterprise for things like agent updates and app updates (public). And how exactly is the agent update and app update handled by the managed google play store? What are the criteria that must be met in order of the play store to update the app / agent. ( i know you can manage app updates ) But that arent many options to choose from, we´d like to somewhat test new app and agent updates before they are silently pushed and installed on all the ae devices. What is your approach to this and what am i maybe missing? Thanks in advance. Kind regards John

Tried using intent:https://myurl#Intent;scheme=http;action=android.intent.action.VIEW;component=com.android.chrome/ out of curiosity, but the button on the kiosk page doesn’t do anything when pressed. Thanks in advance Bhav
When running Enterprise Browser in lockdown mode, is there a way to display the blue square when the function key is pressed. We need a way for the operators to know if the function key is active.
I am using Soti Surf and have two fields of data. I insert a tab after the first data string and doing so clears any data in the second field. Is there a way of tabing to the second field and not erase the data in the field being tabbed to
When using StageNow xml Config scripts in packages I sometimes get this error:Script command is not supported by device (xmlconfig) Sometimes I don't get this error and it processes correctly. Most of the time when I get the error the changes still go into effect so the XMLCONFIG must be processed. Other times it does not and I have to remove and re-add the package to get the StageNow profile to take. Is there a reason this is happening? It works most of the time, but there is no good way for me to know when it doesn't work and I get devices out in the field that are not fully setup. My package has a simple TimeZone (Clock) setting from StageNow, and the script command is "mxconfig /sdcard/TimeZone_Eastern.xml". The devices are Zebra TC70X and they are running Agent version 13.7.0.1031 on the devices.

Hi, I have seen simliar posts to mine but so far I'm having issues understanding the exact process needed to transition from Android 7.1 and Android Plus to Android Enterprise management. Our current management system is comprised of StageNow for our TC56 devices. We just scan the barcode using StageNow which installs and configures the agent for our MobiControl server. From my understanding, we need to rebuild our StageNow process to sideload apps on the devices before it completes an initial setup? As well as re-create our SOTI profiles and organization to include Android Enterprise? Essentially I'm looking for some sort of documentation or clear-cut guide on how to migrate these processes from 7.1 to 8. Is there anything like this? Or even some steps that others have done it successfully?
When I'm generating a "Device Connectivity Activity" report, I can select the data from "last week". In the report the last week start at Sunday 12:00 AM until Saturday 11.59 PM. I want to generate automatically reports of the last week, beginning at Monday 12:00 am until Sunday 11:59 pm (Monday 00:00 - Sunday 23:59). Can I configure the "last week" somehow? Regards, Mark
